I don't doubt that's a big part of it. People treat gambling on sporting events like they are the ones making the plays on the field. I guess in that way it makes people feel more involved. But imo it takes away from the game itself, the culture and the human aspect. Or at least changes it significantly. From what I've watched so far I haven't noticed much during the game. But in the pre-game for one of the games they were giving the over-under on receiving yards for certain players and it felt dirty. It might just be me though

Bombers defence as stout as ever in the win against the Argos. But that was a tough game against a good team. For the rematch we may require some guys to get out of the infirmary.

O-line generally hasn't been giving him the same amount of time to throw as he's used to. And the defensive lines he's faced have done a great job of wrapping him up when he's scrambling.

Definitely cheering for Lucky but I feel he's going to burn us this year

Is that expression making a comeback? I've seen 3 people use it in the last week. Matt Nichols isn't really the kind of guy that lives in people's heads.

Im sure we have someone that can return in case of injury. Ex. Demski. Probably others. Having a backup returner that is at the same level as your primary returner is a luxury. I'd rather have a more impact receiver on the field for every offensive snap. That said it may be a moot point as Stewart still seems to be injured

Or possibly ArDarius Stewart with Nelson being primary returner

Speaking of long kicks. How about that 55 yarder from Bede? It looked like it could have gone for 70. Or was it just camera tricks?

Really depends on who gets healthy. Otherwise it'll be Nelson and Bailey again I'm sure. Not the end of the world. It was just one game.

Would be nice. Wolitarsky is a good blocker but he doesn't instill fear as an offensive weapon. Some packages with those three Canadians on the field could be real good

And even though I hate the Riders a lot, Edmonton and Calgary both stating they gift-wrapped their games almost makes me want to cheer against them the hardest this year.

Hard to really come to any conclusions after 1 week. But maybe the eastern teams (especially Toronto) will be okay this year. I think it's safe to say our lines are still really good. And with a good QB that goes a long way. BC is probably going to be a tire fire. Though it was really crazy how they almost managed to win being down by 31 and a crippled QB throwing hot garbage.

Nelson made a couple nice plays. One good catch at the 5 yard line. It was his first game with Collaros. I'd like to see Darvin back too though.

Near perfect way to start the season. Took down the league's "top team". Two surprise wins out of the east. Cherry on top would have been a crippled Michael Reilly beating the Riders. But 31 points is too much to spot a team.

Saw this live and was just disappointed Taylor couldn't finish him off before he got the first down. Sweet play by Jones.

This year we were always going to start with as many vets as possible, regardless of how good the new guys in camp were. By the end of the season the cream will rise to the top.
