  1. Didn't that have something to do with Westerman getting hurt and us adjusting the ratio?
  2. Holy overreach Batman! Hopefully the dumbest thing I read today. No, I wasn't suggesting that they play 13. No, not playing isn't the new injured. No, that's not what I said at all. Go back and read it slowly this time. Just so you don't have to, I'll restate it again... Assuming that Neuf will be able to play 18 games this season without getting injured is a poor assumption, because (Read this part slowly) He's never done it in his 7 CFL seasons before this one. Just cuz you brought it up... They played Bond because he's way better than a healthy Neuf. Playing Neuf helps our ratio, but it doesn't make our O line better. In fact, it makes it worse if you believe the coaches who started Bond in front of Neuf last year and I do. Simply getting rid of Neuf would mean that we'd have the money to keep Westerman or bring in Muamba (Either would help our ratio even more than Neuf IMO). That doesn't even take into account that if Couture is really ready to start like and some folks around here believe he is, we'd be way better from a starting NI standpoint as we'd have 8.
  3. Maybe this is the year that Neufeld actually plays and doesn't get injured. IIRC it would be the first time in his 7 going on 8 years in the league that's happened, so history isn't on his side. BTW: Playing 6 games isn't anywhere near playing the full 18 + Pre-Season + Playoffs.
  4. ALL TEAMS UNDER CFL SALARY CAP IN 2017 - https://www.cfl.ca/2018/04/20/teams-cfl-salary-cap-2017/ Didn't everyone tell me that the Riders couldn't possibly be under the cap this year?
  5. It's like basketball. All offense. Went a couple of times and couldn't stand it.
  6. I think we're a bit worse than we were last year, but we still have the draft and the rookies to add so it's a work in progress.
  7. Drew Edwards - @scratchingpost 19h19 hours ago #Riders drop QB Boykin from neg list after domestic violence allegation #CFL http://3downnation.com/2018/03/27/riders-neg-list-quarterback-trevone-boykin-accused-domestic-violence/ … #Q13FOX 11h11 hours ago Seahawks release QB Trevone Boykin amid domestic violence allegations http://bit.ly/2Ic2mGK At least the Riders did the right thing as soon as they heard about it, even before he was released by the Seahawks.
  8. I'll guess that their will be a run on OL and we will choose an OL with our first pick too.
  9. I'd take Simonise in the 3rd round if he's still available. Big bodied receivers who can run don't come around every day.
  10. No, but you do make statements about incentives and how easy they are to hit.... Wouldn't Harris also get incentives. Cuz you seem confused: A range of 20-30K isn't called making a statement about exact contract values. It's called making a statement about a range with a couple of tweets to show where I got it from.
  11. What are the incentives? How much for each? How easy are they to hit?
  12. There's not 20-30K per player in playoff money. Max is 16K for winning the GC.
  13. Jeff Hamilton‏ @jeffkhamilton Mar 21 - The #Bombers offered Henoc Muamba a contract around $170,000, plus incentives. Justin Dunk‏Verified account @JDunk12 Mar 20 - Henoc Muamba wanted to be paid more than #Bombers RB Andrew Harris, who is set to make just under $200,000 in hard money for the 2018 #CFL season That's 30K, but I also read that Harris made 190K this year, so 20-30K lower.
  14. They probably lowered their offer when they found out that the Bombers are only willing to go $170K (FTR: 20-30K below Harris' salary).
  15. His new team won't get a $35K discount just because Regina gave him that much for doing nothing. IMO, He's worth $190-200K, just like Westerman was. Next time you hire someone, go for the guy who got overpaid for his last job so you don't have to pay him as much, cuz he's already got it from someone else. See how that works for you.
  16. Fixed it for you.
  17. $190-200K for Muamba seems about right for a ratio breaking NI who plays like Import, especially one who plays a position that we need. I wonder what the Bombers think a 'strong pitch' is.
  18. Talking about being dumb and not understanding... when I type "Are you saying", I am asking for clarification. Jones mistake was paying out 1 off season bonus before cutting Muamba. Other than that, he didn't do anything that other GM's don't do. If you didn't dislike him, you would treat him the same as the rest of the GM's. Again... If we need to cut someone to be able to afford Muamba, we will be doing the same thing. FTR: We've already signed 2 players (Durant and Bowman) who were cut by their teams (Not Jones) for SMS reasons when they were owed bonuses. Muamba would be the 3rd and we'd end up cutting a player who has already received his off season bonus.
  19. Are you saying that it's "A total crap move" every time a GM cuts a player who is due a bonus soon? Most CFL GM's would disagree. Hint: It's done all the time, just like cutting a player because you've signed another player to make the SMS work.
  20. It's the same situation. Cutting a player because of bringing another player in after the start of FA season. Turd down nation is suggesting that Oka could be cut (http://3downnation.com/2018/03/06/how-the-bombers-can-create-cap-space-for-henoc-muamba/) to make room for Muamba. It would just be business as usual same as when Jones did it to Muamba.
  21. If we sign Muamba and have to cut someone else to do it, will you have the same complaint about Walters? (Asking for a friend)
  22. Mike Riley is one of my favorite HC's. I'd love to have him back.
  23. I don't see how Flanders gets on the game day roster TBH. For him to see the field, we have to take one of Adams, Bowman or Dressler off or he's just a returner and Demski can do that job.
  24. Roh's a rotation DE. I guess the Bombers don't see Corney as good enough to be the rotation DE all the time.
  25. You can't replace Loffler with Leggett unless you start another NI somewhere else and I just don't see a 12 Import D.
