For the voters who loosely associate with a party, I think that they are less likely to follow party lines in a civic election because the affiliations to the party aren't as obvious (Chow's connection to Layton not withstanding).

3 stars plus hh blow out with some doubt
The only part I couldn't figure out was how he got from under the bleachers to out in front of the rum hut without anyone there noticing (and maybe some around the rum hut did notice).

Agreed... the biggest problem I see for trying to implement it here is the connected treatment facilities, medical care and social services need to be in place for it to work. All 3 of those are missing here right now and the government has to setup up and fix that at the same time. Helping the people with addiction problems get out of that cycle would go a long way to improving our city. It is likely quite a high expense in the short term, but the longer term savings in those other areas would be much higher.

Just finished The Kominsky Method the other day. 3 short seasons, but it was really good.

Can you please define the far left?

Let's try this again... what is the extreme-left?
-
Canadian Politics
For the third time, what is the extreme-left? I believe that the actions of some anti-fascism groups start to fall under what someone else referred to as the paradox of tolerance.

Canadian Politics
So you're not going to answer the direct question that I asked... please explain the extreme left? Ok, you don't like Westwood... fine, then read the post that was actually retweeted: https://twitter.com/RexChapman/status/1300872645404225537 Because Twitter won't embed properly it says: Not all Trump supporters are racist but all of them decided that racism isn't a deal breaker. Explain to me how being anti-fascist is a bad thing?
-
Canadian Politics
Please explain the extreme left because I truly don't understand. ANTIFA stands for Anti-Fascist, so if you are saying that is extreme and a bad thing, then I will just point to this pinned post on Troy Westwood's twitter: https://twitter.com/TroyWestwood/status/1300962913092591616?cxt=HHwWgIC7zY24-Y0kAAAA The post refers to racism, but same goes for fascism.

That and when she did have press conferences, she never actually answered any questions. She gave roundabout run-on non-answers.

How is talking about gender identity "sexualization of our children"? Just because the word sex is used in place of gender does not make it sexualization. Like Tracker said... WHAT. AN. IDIOT.

In what world can the government possibly make more money selling to private retailers rather than direct to consumers. If the pricing is the same between the MLCC and private retailers, it's not possible. The MLCC isn't going to be selling to private retailers for more than they would direct to consumers, and if they are charging the retailers the same as consumers, then we're just paying more for the same product. Your math doesn't work.

Manitoba Politics
You are correct, I did confuse you with the other poster. My apologies for that.

Manitoba Politics
I will quote you here: " Private liquor sales will generate a crap load more tax dollar revenue than what the province will lose of retail revenues," The only way private liquor sales will generate a crap load more tax dollar revenue is if sales are a crap load more. If sales are higher, that basically implies higher consumption. So to answer your question, it looks like you are the one who is saying that that private liquor sales = higher liquor consumption.

Why is it that raising social programs (ie. helping people get out of poverty and into the work force) is seen as stifling economic growth? I haven't done the math, but in my eyes, more people working means a larger tax base along with more money in circulation (and not just restricted to a bunch of people who are hoarding their wealth), which by definition is economic growth... or am I missing something?
