I'm so torn with that one. I can't stand Chris Jones so I'm always more than happy to see him lose, but I do feel bad for the Edmonton fans. I also can't stand Sask, or their fans. I'd slightly prefer Edmonton to have won, for their fans... but like you said, it couldn't have happened to a better prick.- Elks at SSK
Pretty sure it bounced between the 15 and 20... I say a combination of the returner playing too far up and Lauther putting everything behind it.- Bombers vs Stamps - Friday night football
And then Castillo followed that up with a booming kickoff into the end zone to get the single point and make up for the miss.- Blue Bombers - 2023 Regular Season - Discussion Thread
I believe it's also a newer rule that just came in over the past couple of years, so if Calgary has done it before and got away with it, it may have been before the new rule came in. Edit:; Just looked it up and it appears it was a new rule in 2018: Article 13 — Blindside Blocking It shall be illegal for any player to deliver a forcible block on an opponent while moving back towards their own dead ball line anywhere on the field.- The Environment Thread
My point was, you said this: Always criticizing Trudeau daily but when push comes to shove is a true coward supporting the Liberals. This Champagne Socialist has it pretty good with his cars & fancy suits. As well as his growing wealth & pension all courtesy of the Canadian taxpayer. Then said this about PP: I can't. He's not PM. Also, there is another reason to do it. Singh has more say with Trudeau in power than we would with PP. Call it being paid off if you want, but if it allows him to further some of the goals of his party, it's a strategy that works for him. He likely loses out on all of that with the Cons in power, so it definitely makes sense for him to prop up the Liberals at this time.- The Environment Thread

Generally the batteries on those drones are only good for 10-15 minutes, so a 10 minute show seems about right for what they are capable of. Do do anything longer, they'd need another full set of drones.- Lock of the Week 5

Was there some sort of narration to go with the show? Seems like it's missing something without a story going along with it.- Lock of the Week 4

For the voters who loosely associate with a party, I think that they are less likely to follow party lines in a civic election because the affiliations to the party aren't as obvious (Chow's connection to Layton not withstanding).- The Health Thread

Big crash on the Number 1 near Carberry. Not many details yet, but apparently the RCMP will have a press conference at around 4:30. https://globalnews.ca/news/9771207/major-crash-reported-on-highway-1-near-carberry-man/- Lock of the Week 2 2023

Agreed... the biggest problem I see for trying to implement it here is the connected treatment facilities, medical care and social services need to be in place for it to work. All 3 of those are missing here right now and the government has to setup up and fix that at the same time. Helping the people with addiction problems get out of that cycle would go a long way to improving our city. It is likely quite a high expense in the short term, but the longer term savings in those other areas would be much higher.- The TV Thread
Just finished The Kominsky Method the other day. 3 short seasons, but it was really good.- Manitoba Politics
Can you please define the far left?- Canadian Politics
Let's try this again... what is the extreme-left?- Canadian Politics
For the third time, what is the extreme-left? I believe that the actions of some anti-fascism groups start to fall under what someone else referred to as the paradox of tolerance.- Canadian Politics
So you're not going to answer the direct question that I asked... please explain the extreme left? Ok, you don't like Westwood... fine, then read the post that was actually retweeted: https://twitter.com/RexChapman/status/1300872645404225537 Because Twitter won't embed properly it says: Not all Trump supporters are racist but all of them decided that racism isn't a deal breaker.
