  1. 46 Players and executives go on the cup. Because Dayna Spiring was the chair of the board at the time, she got her name on there.

I believe the estimate to move the rail yards was in the billions... I'm not sure how many, but it would take a lot to make that move happen.

Let's be honest... Hercules should never have been white in the first place, just like Jesus isn't white. Why is it a bad thing to allow representation in different forms. The people getting upset about characters being more diverse are the white people who feel that they are "losing power" and "being replaced". The complaint about anything being "woke" as a bad thing is absolutely ridiculous.
  4. The reporters are able to vote for their own team players. The comment that DT made on WST about not getting to vote for the team award was about the initial round of voting where it was 4 members of the football reporters of Canada and the head coach in each market that puts players forward for consideration in each category.
  5. I believe that Kelly won solely on his team's record... I would argue that they voted for him more as MVP rather than MOP, but I don't even think he was MVP on his team, I'd have given that to Leake for the great field position he provided for most of their games.
  6. Yeah, that was confusing... in one sentence he said that Betts had a fantastic season, and the next he talked about how he played a great first game against Winnipeg and then disappeared in the other 3... How can you compare Betts who disappeared for 3+ games to Brady who was outstanding in every single game.
  7. Looks like it's available on the CFL website: https://www.cfl.ca/2022/11/12/2023-cfl-awards/ but you need to sign in to get access to it.
  8. Not to be insensitive towards a guy who may or may not have suffered an injury... it feels like this is an excuse for his poor play. If nobody can figure out when he took a hit to the head that would cause a concussion, something just doesn't feel right about it.
  9. I think there is some positional factors that come into play. I don't think we will ever see Proulx as a line judge. He was the Backup Referee in the Montreal-Toronto game. The ratings are based on how they performed throughout the year, and it looks like Kroeker made less mistakes. Perhaps Vallesi was better as well, or maybe Proulx declined the job for some other reasons. Kroeker is from Saskatoon, so if there was going to be bias on his part, it wouldn't be for Winnipeg. That being said, both are professionals and call a good game no matter who is playing.
  10. Agreed, I think Andre Proulx is the best in the league, but Kroeker isn't a a terrible second option.
  11. I suspect that the only answer we would get is that they are focused on the Grey Cup and that they will sit down and talk once the season is over... pretty much the same as they did with O'Shea last year.
  12. Votes were submitted earlier this week so the decision has already been made. Technically, the playoffs aren't supposed to dictate the winners of the awards, but I think we were shown who the true MOP is in the division finals.
  13. Don't forget that tomorrow is Remembrance Day/Veteran's Day... Jackson is a veteran, so how could you possibly consider not letting him play on Veteran's Day? /s
  14. My question is how do you not have either Jefferson or Jeffcoat on either the 1st or 2nd all-star teams? That makes no sense to me at all.
  15. Yeah, that guy was sitting right next to the guy in this pic. I think it's this guy and his wife who are the usual suspects and they got a buddy to join them at that game. Don't think I've ever seen anyone else in the crowd with those stupid horns.
  16. I feel like you should still have to pick for the next 2 weeks to see if you would have been eliminated
  17. I forgot about that incident and didn't realize it was Judge. I don't know what precipitated it and I wouldn't want to excuse it in any way. I would say though that it appears to have been a one time thing with Judge, versus Awe doing his shenanigans game in and game out. One of the most egregious things that he does that really bothers me is when a team is taking a knee, he runs in hard as if he's going to try and get a sack on the QB which I think is totally uncalled for.
  18. I must have missed that one, what did he do to Lucky?
  19. Judge is an excellent LB and definitely should have been in the running for an all star spot. I would take him on my team before Awe every day of the week. I don't feel like he does the dirty, after the whistle stuff like Awe does.

Just went at lunch to get my flu and Covid shots. Sobey's on St. Anne's seemed to be well stocked if anyone is looking for a place to go.

Definitely sounds like old school Beatles... gives me similar vibes to While My Guitar Gently Weeps

Yeah, lower turnout in my area this year (South St. Vital). We had 46 where we usually have around 90.
  23. I don't disagree with you... Those short trips, especially the Hamilton games, are not plane rides which is a huge advantage. Average distance per trip falls out like this: Toronto: 1174 Hamilton: 1233 Winnipeg: 1288 Saskatchewan: 1438 Ottawa: 1440 Edmonton: 1463 Montreal: 1498 Calgary: 1651 BC: 1978 And yes, I did factor in TD Atlantic this time.
  24. I didn't (totally forgot about it), that would have actually added to Toronto's total because that was technically a home game for them so counted as 0km, and just would have added to Saskatchewan's distance. It actually makes the travel distance even less lopsided than I would have expected for Toronto. Added it above now.
  25. This comment got me curious, so I did a very quick and dirty calculation on the travel for each team this year (regular season only). I factored in the distance (as the crow flies) from home stadium to away stadium. The distance travelled is quite a bit closer than I would have expected. By the nature of where they are, BC's extra travel isn't all that surprising, the closest stadium for them is Calgary at 672km, while Toronto has 3 stadiums closer than that. As pointed out by JCon and Bluto, I missed the TD Atlantic game. This adds travel for Toronto and Sask, putting Toronto's total up to the 3rd least travel by distance. Toronto: 10,472 km 11,742 km Hamilton: 11,097 km Winnipeg: 11,5879 km Saskatchewan: 11,876 km 12,943 km Ottawa: 12,956 km Edmonton: 13,165 km Montreal: 13,482 km Calgary: 14,860 km BC: 17,803 km
