  1. To build on what you said about Buck, and I think I've said it here before but I had noticed that whenever Buck was up in the booth with Lapo the team tended to play a more aggressive style of offence. I'm so glad that Buck decided to wait it out here to get his shot as OC as I'm sure other teams tried to lure him away over the years. Very excited to see what he'll be able to do with the offence this year.
  2. Great stuff so far... anyone who hasn't checked it out yet I would strongly encourage you to do so. Love the live chat too because it makes it more interactive and engaging.
  3. As O'Shea said on the Coach's show, some guys are gonna have a hard time making it onto a very good team and that he will encourage them to keep trying. By releasing them now, some of them may have an opportunity to catch on with another team before the end of TC.
  4. I thought the Ricky Ray to TO trade was the most one sided trade in league history.
  5. I wonder what that deal is worth to the league. Is this the start of CFL 2.0 becoming profitable for the league?
  6. It would work in theory, but the fact is that the people at the top were greedy and kept all of the money for themselves. I suspect that the top people pushing those policies knew this would be the case as they were the ones who likely benefited from it.
  7. I'm just excited to be at the stadium again 😃

The cops were too afraid to go in and get shot yet they expect a teacher "good guy with a gun" to have been able to stop this guy.
  9. I believe that was last year's parking passes... I don't think they've updated it for this year's schedule yet.
  10. I've never seen anyone collecting money... pretty sure you need to buy a pass beforehand.
  11. She had an easy opportunity to raise her and her party's popularity and she failed at it spectacularly. She gave in to the right wingnuts and that's why her popularity is so low. I don't disagree that the unpopularity of her party isn't helping her, but she's not doing herself any favours either.
  12. Not to mention never actually giving a straight answer to any question in the press briefings during her early days.

https://www.cbc.ca/sports/olympics/winter/curling/curling-thomas-ulsrud-dead-at-50-1.6465510 Sad day for curling, he was great for the sport.
  14. You know, this is the 2nd time this has happened to me today... shortly after I ask a question about trying to find something (after looking over the course of days), I find it... On the Bomber site, bring up the schedule. On the left side (doesn't matter which game), there is a down arrow to show more information... from there, on the right side there is a little calendar, click that and it brings you to another site where you can link it to your calendar.
  15. Has anyone seen a digital calendar version of the 2022 schedule yet this year? The Bomber website usually has one that I can download into Outlook, but they don't seem to have made one this year.
  16. I see Dave Dickenson as the bigger culprit of stretching the rules... Exhibit A: getting a receiver on the opposite side of the field to run over a DB in order to challenge for illegal contact when a pass goes incomplete in a critical situation.

Agreed, Pepsi has always had a bit of a metallic tasted to me as well. Coke has always been my go-to for mix, but I've recently switched to Zevia Cola and it's an adequate substitute.

Rae's Bistro is up in North Kildonan and the food is fantastic.
  19. Not to mention how unpredictably a football can bounce.
  20. That sounds suspiciously like socialism... and heaven forbid you have anything that resembles socialism in capitalist Alberta.
  21. Some people seem to think that more scoring makes the game more exciting for the casual fans. In my mind the biggest issue with the CFL is marketing. The teams, the league, and their TV partner (currently TSN) need to do a better job with marketing. Bell Media could use CTV to advertise CFL games on TSN to get the word out more, but the biggest issue is that the teams in the bigger markets aren't doing anything to draw people to the games. Perhaps the new owner in BC will do a better job out there, but Toronto and Montreal are still big question marks. The rule changes, especially the thought of going to 4 downs, are mostly gimmicky and don't help the core problem of marketing, or lack thereof.
  22. They are more dangerous in the sense that they can do a lot more damage a lot more quickly.

I don't know what First Ring Daily is... Based on some of the stuff that he's done lately and things I've read about how he got to where is it, it kind of fits a pattern. Yes, I believe you are correct that it would be market manipulation rather than insider trading.

Probably... but when has that ever stopped him before?

I don't think he's actually planning to buy Twitter, he's using this news to drive up the value of the stock and then he'll dump what he already bought and say something about owning twitter not being the right thing for him to do now because of X.
