Fun to sit and watch practice today... Been about 20 years since I was last able. With respect to the late great Randy Turner, the king of Odds and Sods writing.... here's some thoughts: -Al

  • Just to speak to Wolitarsky’s character and just what a good dude he is … few years back, some friends and I went to go see him play at Earl’s on Main and we ended up chatting with him and Streveler …

Really easy to always say that there's some mystical coach out there that would be a better fit.  We've been through generations as CFL fans watching teams including our own who keep believing that.

The O just had a piss poor season where they spent big cash on players. The OC who just orchestrated that piss poor O season is now head coach in English Columbia. Football is wild.

cfl always needs new blood and ideas tho but if the best man for the job is in house then so be it. Hopefully it’s said they are or did have an OC search ? I don’t think they are gonna **** around in a year we host the cup  either  but I guess it’s something to talk about but involves none of us and none of us have a say so

So... you equate a raw rookie OC with zero offensive coordinator experience as having the same amount of risk as an experienced non-garbage OC?

A raw rookie could end up being better... just saying you ain't getting one of the real established top quality OCs here... who are those guys even?

Buck pierce. Jordan Maksymic. If we are going on which Ocs got legit interviews around the league for head coach.

Buck deserved to be a HC, I think BC is a good fit for him. He had the luxury of a good situation here in the Peg and some personal stuff to work through. The timing and location of this worked out, and I wish him all the best....just not while playing us....

Tedd has from all respects a very good reputation, again I wish him all the best

We have been so fortunate that we have kept not only players but coaches throughout this amazing multiyear run, but alas change was inevitable. Whether we hire from within or externally so far Miller and Walters track records have been pretty good. I believe they at least deserve benefit of the doubt, and some grace based off all the success they have bred here over this amazing run.

Very, very happy to have Stan back, he was my number one guy I wanted back.

Can't overstate how big of a loss Goveia is.

Not many around with his knowledge, connections and abilities across Canada.

Sort of feels like this era is coming to an end.

Ted was a big loss, no doubt about it, but I suppose we should wait and see who we replace him with before we decide it's the end of an era.

Yeah really only had one guy starting this year who was our own first rounder in Dobson.  Most of the Canadians they've built around have been 2nd round and below.

TBF, other than Dobson, the only other 1st round pick we've had in the last 5 years was Bennett.

We traded down this past draft to get 2 early 2nd rounders in a deep draft (Clercius & MCI).  We traded our 2022 pick for Lawson & we traded our 2020 pick in the Collaros trade.
