Look at what he's actually charged with though: Fraud over $5,000, public mischief, two counts of uttering forged documents and three counts of possession of counterfeit mark. He was literally and deliberately making fake licenses and then on top of that, he lied to the RCMP while they were investigating. I certainly don't see a long jail sentence in his future but I don't know that a fine is enough of a punishment.

That's the million dollar question. If there's a player that either team would want and we were willing to part with, that team would still end up with a really good prospect at #8 and a proven player so it's the best of both worlds for them. They both have 2 first round picks this year too so they're in a really good position for the draft.
