November 3, 20168 yr comment_232825 I don't remember the player, but it's not very surprising. The gong show of Ocho and Sam were ridiculous and could of easily been avoided. I wonder how much is on Popp and how much is on the owners....
November 3, 20168 yr comment_232829 I rememebr the player but only because when he got cut last year he sent a tweet saying "when it rains it pours.. The cfl website spelled my name wrong in the transactions page" or something to that effect.
November 3, 20168 yr Author comment_232836 I totally forgot he was talking about Sam....yes yes.....man, that's a **** show...
November 3, 20168 yr comment_232845 This is sad. Sounds like a decent guy and a potentially good player in this league. The odds of Popp surviving this mess are dropping.
November 3, 20168 yr comment_232851 Also sounds from the tweets from Hef that the ALS league and players association are not helping him recover from career ending injury.
November 3, 20168 yr comment_232875 Jim Popp is an ******* and Wettenhall is a slimy POS, file this under things we already new. Not so easy when you can't hide behind Calvillo is it.
November 4, 20168 yr Author comment_232900 Actually Herb Z was just tweeting that anyone asking about AC as HC eill have to wait. Said he's gonna be but not for a couple years at least.

November 4, 20168 yr comment_232906 I was sure that AC was going to be the HC next year. Totally fits the Als' mode of making moves that are more splashy than sensible. And those good Als teams were way more than just Calvillo. Sure, he made the whole thing go but they were stacked at every position, especially during the Trestman years.
November 4, 20168 yr comment_232916 I wonder why if he was actually good, he didnt get another look else where. Not surprised the als are a gong show behind the scenes. I wonder if he was black listed for the leak and if he actually did it.
November 7, 20168 yr comment_233366 Popp apparently didn't show up for the meetings teams traditionally have with each player on locker cleanout day.
November 7, 20168 yr Author comment_233398 Man, I don't know an Als organization without Jim Popp....so crazy. It's definitely a new era for them...
November 7, 20168 yr Author comment_233400 Arash Madani ✔ @ArashMadani Expect Brock Sunderland, the RedBlacks assistant GM who once worked in the Als front office, to be a front runner for Montreal's #CFL GM job 2s

Checks all the boxes for the Wetenhall family. #CFL

November 7, 20168 yr comment_233437 So Madani is reporting that both Macoicia and Sunderland are front-runners?... I get that they can both be candidates but technically there can only be one front runner...

If two guys are neck and neck and running way out in front of the pack, they are frontrunners. Edited November 7, 20168 yr by gcn11

November 7, 20168 yr comment_233458 Does anyone know what Popp said to the players that apparently pissed them all off earlier in the season? Westwood alluded to it on the radio this morning. Popp really should of hired someone else to coach this season and focused on being the GM.... it would of saved his job.
