  1. The marina. Still there..still good.
  2. No it's 680 CJOB. Maybe it's elevation or something...I don't know. That shocks me.

Could just be an assumption by Dunk. I have not heard of him having other visits, particularly to Winnipeg. We would have heard something about that.

Toronto did everything short of putting a gun to his head to get him to sign before he left town. My guess is Toronto is off the board for Walker.
  5. I can pick up CJOB at my cabin in Paint Lake, just south of Thompson, that's 7 hours North of Winnipeg. You're telling me you can't get CJOB 2 hours out? Odd.

No receiver in their right mind is going to a team that has crap QBing, unless their offer blows all others out of the water.

His decision has been made imo...and it ain't Toronto. I guarantee they gave him the hard core press to sign before leaving and "I'll think about it ...buh bye" was a polite way of saying thanks but no thanks.

They are a tire fire right now. I don't think too many players view a Dickenson/McAdoo/Shivers/Collaros combination being a winning formula. The thing I love the most is that us preventing Lapo from going there may have cost them a marquee QB, many high profile free agents, and a shot at a playoff spot. Feels good.

True...I think it's Plan D right now and counting.

2 days ago they were pondering how O'Day would make up his mind when Harris and BLM were both willing to sign new contracts and when Willie Jefferson was going to run for mayor of Regina.

Manny was having a down season before his injury last year but was still on pace for 1100 yards. If we can get him cheap enough I'd take him.

They were smoking crack if they thought BLM was ever going to go there. BLM played them like a fiddle to get Huffer to quit sitting on his wallet.

The Riders are ALL IN....on Collaros. LMAO. They have turned like rabid dogs on O'Day over on Riderfans. Love it.

I think the losses we sustained will be covered well. I think we are a better team than the Eskimos.

I agree. Edmonton has managed to do well today, but they started out the day way behind the 8 ball and pretty much climbed back to close to what they had last season. Still not a better team imo. Just minimized the losses today.

Some big time Rider fan mytopia coming from Vanstone. Does he honestly think that Saskatchewan can compete with MLSE's contacts for endorsements?
  17. Well back in the 1918 he may have had a point. Nowadays, not so much. The big fights between unions and employers have all been fought already. Now it's just about maintaining for unions.
  18. Not even to mention the guy hasn't done bupkus in two years on the field either.
  19. The players simply can't afford a work stoppage and their union doesn't have buckets of cash. The players will get whatever morsels the league will give them and then sign on the dotted line. I am yet to see, in 40 years of following, the CFLPA dig in its heels on anything. Closest we came to a work stoppage was when the owners threatened to lock the players out over the guaranteed revenue sharing. Took all of a week for the CFLPA to give it up.
  20. I think you are overestimating the amount of time this will take.
  21. Depends whether you're asking someone from Inwood or Chatfield.
  22. Ambrosie spotted heading just West of Arborg. Going to form an alliance with the Morweena Mennonite Football League. Might offer up the next jersey contract to the ladies to sweeten the pot. Fabric Barn get ready.....
  23. Yup. Even last year when Popp went out and got him, Trestman refused to play him. When a coach would rather lose his job than to put a player in that might help, you know he's cancerous.
  24. You must have been gone a long time I guess.
  25. Nichols is infinitely better than anything you guys have rolled out at QB over the last 5 years. Adequate would be a huge improvement for you guys right now, and it doesn't appear to be a level you are going to attain any time soon. Last place with a bullet next year. What QB in their right mind is going to go to a team that has lost all it's best players, it's COTY, and has by far the worst offensive system in the league. You should be hoping and praying that JOD can land a QB at least as good as Nichols this year, because if I were a betting man, I would say that it doesn't appear he will. Maybe a reclamation project like Jennings, or re-signing the Faberge melon of Zach...that's about the best you can hope for until McAdoo is gone.
