  1. The chemistry of Denmark and Nichols is undeniable. He's going to have a big season this year if he stays healthy. Getting rid of our potential best overall reciever would be a mistake.
  2. It looks like rider fans are giving up on the season already. I just want to see Durant beat them in the first game, and see us pull out a W in their own back yard and then see their entire fan base implode.
  3. Oops. I wonder why I thought he was Canadian. My bad.
  4. He was outstanding with the Argos and he's Canadian which lets us have more flexibility. Not singing Okpaluago means we probably start an American at DE which means we're likely starting Hurl at MLB regardless.
  5. O'shea has his faults. His blind loyalty to medicore vets is the biggest. Especially on the defensive side of things.
  6. We had our best record in 15 years and people still try to down play Nichols and the QB play. I think he's going to surprise a lot of people this year with his play, especially the chemistry he has with Denmark, Adams, and Dressler.
  7. Also.. This is the best set of Quarterbacks the Bombers have had in years. I feel super comfortable going into the season with Nichols, Davis, and the fever.
  8. The good news is we haven't lost a game this entire pre season! The bad news is..
  9. Drouins a special talent. Good trade for Montreal however they still don't have a number center, and they just lost their best defensive prospect so it seems like a lateral move at the moment.
  10. I remember I was at the game where Elliot threw over 400 yards and then won player of the week and everyone thought he was the next great QB. All I saw was a weak arm that took forever to get to the receiver, fortunately for one or two games only our receiving core came down with the ball. They really bailed him out. Under no circumstances was Elliot ever a good or productive QB.
  11. Are we really comparing Dieter Brock to Apodaca?
  12. Nichols actually got better and better as the season went on. At first he was more or less a game manager but down the stretch when our secondary was being burnt pretty good he was holding his own against guys like Jennings, and Reilly.
  13. Im just glad this organization is at the level in which we can cut starters from last year because of the high level of completion instead of dumpster diving for other teams cuts. The good teams in this league have to make tough decisions on players and sometimes that means moving a long from a good football player.
  14. I think it's funny how brain washed they are on the rider board. They let go of long time legend Darian Durant and brought in Kevin Glenn, NFL wash out Vince Young, and a Bomber PR QB into the fold for the starting position. Bennett is a long term prospect at best, Vince Young has nothing to offer, and we all know what you're getting out of a 38 year old Kevin Glenn. But "keep em coming Jonsie"
  15. How about banjo bowl for 4/4!
  16. I could see LA being a plausable destination.
  17. Who says it can't be both
  18. I know its pre season but I sincerely hope we score 50 on the Rough Riders
  19. Exactly. There's a lot of ways to fill out your bottom six. having a guy making 5 millon isn't a good use of cap space.
  20. Yikes thats a lot of money invested into our bottom four. With Trouba in the last year of his contract and needing a significant raise I wouldn't justify in over spending for Smith.
  21. Yeah but Ricky Ray has played 12 games in the last two years and is 37 years old. Anthony Calvillo went from a 95.68 QB rating to a 107.2 obviously a difference but not as significant as most people think. I do think Trestman is a great coach and if there's any football left in Ricky Rays game Trestman is the one to get it out of him.
  22. Ricky Ray looked done last season. Hopefully he's healthy enough to compete. Always respected and liked Ricky Ray.
  23. I would take Trestman any day of the week over Jones and twice on Sunday's!
  24. You should go with an Addison Richards jersey. What could possibly go wrong.
  25. After being tire fire organization for so many years it's great to see players being impressed with our organization. The best teams year after year are the teams with a good stable organization. We've built a good core here in Winnipeg.
