  1. I don't mind the fact that we're not going all out in FA. Teams in the past like the Stamps, Eskimoes, etc rarely go out and over pay. I've seen enough from the organization to trust the process, concentrate on the draft, and on scouting and pick up a few pieces as we go along. like T.O, Stafford, and Navis.
  2. #AlsMTL ✔ @MTLAlouettes BREAKING: Three-year deal for defensive end Jabar Westerman @BigWest99 http://ow.ly/wFyC3091LJv #AlsMTL 1m
  3. Why in the world would anyone want to sign in Toronto without a HC/GM..
  4. Obviously Jones is putting all his chips on Franklin. Would be hilarious if we some how ended up with him
  5. I think people forget how truly special Charles Roberts really was.. 4 straight years of over 1500 yards rushing, only in his last year in Winnipeg was his YPC under 5 and from 2004-2006 in his prime he played under argueably one of the worst o-lines in CFL history. The guy was a special talent.
  6. Medlock just named most outsanding ST player. Worth every penny we're paying him.
  7. Best record in 13 years. Played some great football after a 1-4 start. I'm not disappointed with this season. But we need to grow next season and take the next step. Simply getting to the playoffs won't be good enough. We controlled our own destiny late in the season ( for a home playoff game) and lead for almost sixty minutes but we didn't pull through. It's how we rebound and get better next year which is the true test. If we regress then it's a failure but I'm a half glass full kind of guy and we made huge strives in bringing stability and giving the fans an honest effort day in and day out. Good season overall even after a tough defeat. I'll tell you guys this.. I'm looking forward to the next season a lot more then I was at this point last year.. So that has to count for something!
  8. I would strongly consider OUR first round pick for Franlkin (keep Toronto's) at the end of the day its better for Edmonton to move Franklin for some assets then leave them with nothing around this time next year.

6 Goals, and 8 points in 7 games. So far he has been money. Guy has a knack of positioning himself in the right space and has arguably the best shot in the league at 18 years old. Love Austin Matthews game, but happy with the guy we got.
  10. Ripper is a pretty good. The Rider forum is cringe worthy though.
  11. You would consider Saskatchewan a good team? They have 5 wins and lost to a no name rookie QB with no receiving core. I'd lump Saskatchewan into the group with Montreal and Toronto.
  12. Hope we get to see Adams and Gurley on the field on a few packages. I understand the loyalty to a guy like Smith but I think our receiving core is the most dangerous with Adams, Gurley, Denmark, and Dressler on the field at the same time.
  13. Interesting that his college stats seemed to drop after his freshman and sophomore year. Also not sure if it's a typo but he seemed to go 4/4 with 4 TD passes in his college career
  14. I kid you not..On the rider board that's just the general thought. They're the greatest five win team in the CFL history. Don't believe me? They'll tell you themselves!
  15. What happened to that rider fan who was mad that a poster on MBB suggested that the ALS could POSSIBLY beat the riders.
  16. It's funny how short sighted some people can be.. Yes its one winning season in three years. Yes O'shea and even Walters were on the hot seat coming into this season. This is year three of the regime. Keep in mind when Walters took over Max Hall was our starting QB, Kohlert was our best Canadian player (and we had zero canadian depth) we had a terrible offensive line, and miles away from being a competitive team. Fast forward three years later.. We've built through the draft, our Canadian content is much improved. Our team depth is deeper then i've ever seen it. Including the early 2000's days. Sure the top end talent was higher, but it's been evident this season whenever someone goes down, someone steps up and makes plays. I think Walters has earned his contract extension. This is year three, and finally his total "vision" for the team. With coach O'shea he's always been a well respected coach, but being respected doesn't win football games. I've noticed down the stretch this season with the trick plays at the right time, the proper use of challenges, i've seen him grow into a good football coach. If O'shea and Walters inherited a good football club and we saw the record dip from year one to years two and three I wouldn't extend. But O'shea and Walters inherited an organization that was a complete mess top to bottom and they're finally changing that culture here.
  17. Customer appreciation sale this weekend ?
  18. Health Canada has a very strict guideline in what they allow in supplements. (more so then America) Yes a supplement brand could potentially get by regulations by lying whats really in the supplement but a company like Popeyes only deals with reputable Supplement brands and the chances of that are slim to none. Any company like Jack3d eventually got busted 3-4 years ago and you're not likely to see this happen again. I manage a Popeyes and I could tell you we are very careful in what we bring in. Our integrity is on the line as well. I would have to assume it's recreational use. Young pro athletes with money who want to unwind from work. Wouldn't surprise me one bit.
  19. I have nothing against the Doug Brown induction. He's one of the best Canadian players of all time, certainly the best DT of his era, one of the bright spots on some Mediocore Bomber teams, always gave 100 percent on the field, and is still a big part of the city working in Winnipeg. Like it or not a lot of younger fans go to football games and choosing a popular player from recent memory will help sell tickets. Some of the older greats will get their due eventually.
  20. Wait how does Paredes have more convert misses then field goal misses? Very strange
  21. Edmonton peaking at the right time. Rielly is dialed in and the offense looks dangerous. Defense playing much better compared to the start of the year. Definitely not the team I want to be playing in the playoffs right now.
  22. Crosby out with a concussion.. Not good for the league.
  23. Ah yes 2008. Kevin Glenn's first "last game" with us. I was there. Ricky Ray nickle and dimed it all game long. We were no match.
  24. I've said it from the start. This was one of Winnipeg's BEST offseason moves. Medlock has been money his whole career. It's nearly an automatic three every time he kicks. We haven't this kind of consistency.. Well ever.
  25. Matt Nichols.. Nothing fancy but gets the job done. 2 TD's, 0 turn overs, ( one TD catch) 233 yards passing. Jonathon Jennings with the sexy stats.. 422 yards passing but two INT's and zero touchdowns. Nichols wins the game, Jenning's takes the loss. Managing the game and avoiding turn overs will get you win 9 times out of 10. Really impressed by the play of Nichols right now.
