Collaros was great but I think Lawler and Demski really put things over the top last night. Some huge catches and a few "can't be denied" moments (Brady had a few of those too) With all due respect to Dalton Schoen and Woli, I'm really liking our combination of receivers right now. Each one of them brings a lot to the table and it seems like they're really coming together at the right time.

How in the hell can they defend a guy that's done this 3 times? Every time he "had no choice". He gets blocked up and because he's trying to make a play he makes a bad play. He's reckless. At least Randolph was taking all reps at LT in practice and focusing his efforts at that position. Hopefully he will be better.

I find he's a pretty reasonable guy to discuss things with. As far as being tied to a particular team there are definitely many worse out there. But yeah there are definitely some headline stupid things he says from time to time.

As someone who wasn't sure how it was possible we were going to win that game after Hamilton went up 4... A win is a win. Defense again, pretty darn good. Not their best game but truthfully Hamilton has some weapons. If you give Tim White 5 seconds to get open he will. It seemed like he ran half the length of the field every down. Special teams was great outside of the time we massively out kicked the coverage. I didn't think it was a huge punt and knew things were bad when we had one guy down there. Offense ******* sucks and was much worse without our big protection packages. Was happy to see them pull something out of their ass at the end there.

I'd say there's a good 1/4 that actually believes they should have an NFL team and will crap on the CFL when things aren't going their way. Sad. I won't die on the hill that all rules should be preserved in the CFL but honest to God they had about a million chances to win that game if they had any shred of offense. If you don't want them scoring a rouge then dont let the kicker so close to kick it out of the back of the endzone. The rules are the rules. I'm actually impressed that there was very little hometown reffing factored to that game. Usually the league is ready to hand the games to the Argos.

Makes sense. I believe we acquired Feltmate to play FB when MCI went down. Then he got hurt. MCI is now back and rightfully takes his spot back. It comes at the expense of Schmekel because we have the extra depth coming on with Adams (for Bighill) and Lucky OG We already had a tonne of LB depth so Karamoko is no big loss.

BTW this isn't making excuses for Rourke. More that it explains why he was so good in 2022.

Very different set of weapons Rourke has. When he was at the helm he relied on Dominique "push off" Rhymes and James Butler a lot. Also had Hatcher, Hollins, Whitehead, Cottoy. Stanback is no Butler as far as being an emergency outlet. And he can't get away with just throwing the ball up and having Rhymes get away with OPI every time. He still has weapons but it seems like Hatcher has not rebounded from injury yet, Hollins is missing a step, and McInnis has been coming back down to earth.

Indeed. I was thinking about Alford and Nichols together. That was deadly. And then you had Rose, Houston, Taylor, Mike Jones and a prime Alexander It's true. But we were dominant that year period.

How does this secondary compare to those in recent history? Might be the best I've seen in terms of ability to cover and big play potential.

Rourke starting hot by hitting his check down over the middle over and over. I guess something the Bombers adjusted to (in addition to what they were doing with Stanback) and the rest is history. Kudos to the linebackers and defensive backs who had BC on lock down yet again.
