  1. He did absolutely nothing because he was injured/done...not because of the system. Stats-wise last year was Nield's best year by far with ~500 yards. He's 27. He could continue his upward trajectory. Would be amazing if he put up 600-700 yards this year.
  2. Just curious from those who pay attention. Between Tim White, Pokey Wilson, Demski we have 1, 2 and 3. Is Tommy Nield a 3a/3b to Demski at this point? Or is he clearly a 4/5 type of guy?
  3. Yeah I get that. Also true. Maybe it's that **** out get off the pot moment that I'm seeing where a guy that is supposed to take that next step doesn't. You put him in the 1s in practice and say "this is your opportunity" and if they can't do it then they bring in the next guy. Feel like it was that way with Myron Mitchell last year. So not exactly established veterans, more guys that have been around a bit and need to prove themselves to be a full time starter.
  4. RE: Alijah Mcghee. Is it just me or have we done this many times before. Legit not judging or anything. But I seem to recall that we often bring a guy into the 1s, test him out there, and then cut him the next day.
  5. An inch or two taller and 15 pounds lighter. Not saying he won't be effective, and I'm sure he can add more weight to his frame if he wants. Just doesn't seem like the type that is going to jam up the line of scrimmage at 235.
  6. Interesting. I didn't realize Nuer is a bit of a smaller DL. Likely wouldn't see him inside the line anytime soon. But might be a guy that can drop back into LB coverage like Willie J?
  7. I think it is pretty common that if you are a defensive lineman on the roster that you are taking reps. Those guys are constantly getting after it and need to rotate. Not sure about LBs in Younger's system. They need to a bit more sound in their responsibilities.
  8. I think the problem is that our Canadian depth at OL is not great. I don't even know what our PR will look like in that regard. Very likely we sign a cut from another team after TC. So while we potentially could start 3 Canadians, we are likely going to be relying on our Americans this year.
  9. Would appreciate any reports/Twitter posts/whatever. I have taken myself off of those platforms.
  10. Would we ever consider adding Marco Dubois? Have him, MCI or Dante Daniels on the field at all times?
  11. Hoping that with the addition of Ceresna that it really takes the pressure off the other guys on the line. Our interior has been so weak lately I bet it makes it that much more difficult to contain. But I'm no expert.
  12. Yeah that sucks. Good thing we still have Jenkins and Dixon from last year. And in general the competition looks pretty good along the d line. Unrelated. It looks like we have all of our draft picks signed outside of Nuer (minicamp May 8-10) and Cline.
  13. I think this is a fair assessment. 2nd round was higher ceiling. 3rd and 4th rounds are where there is a much higher quantity of medium ceiling guys. But much more likely to carve out a role as a depth guy.
  14. Heck yeah. Love the attitude. Let's get more shitkickers in the clubhouse. Hope this pays off.
  15. Can someone explain this converting to OL thing with Daniels? The pictures of him makes him look like that transition would be a reverse liposuction. He doesn't look even close to an o lineman
  16. The teams didn't seem to value WR much this draft. Seems like there were a lot of decent ones but nothing to write home about.
  17. I just said this in my Bomber chat. They look LOST. haha especially after that last Djete pick...Ferguson is looking down at a complete loss.
  18. Based on the picks after us...you can basically throw the mocks out 🤣... Our pick isn't looking so weird
  19. Interesting...our heavy sets are going to be heavy. 3 american OL and then having Daniels sitting on the outside...Brady could be running wild. And Collaros will have some great protection.
  20. Really interesting watching his highlight package. That is a mid arm if I've ever seen one. But nearly all his throws are tight spirals and on time. Seems to know where the defense is going to be, and doesn't telegraph where he's going with the ball, which is enough sometimes to feather in some passes in the zones. At the pro level? I have no idea. Looks like a really savvy player...almost like a point guard out there. I like that he finds the forgotten man once he starts to scramble.
  21. I'm pretty confident we will be good this year. How good will depend on our quarterbacking. I personally have high hopes with Broxton and the overall commitment to revamping our OL...and then Tim White to throw to... Defense is really shaping up to be menacing. Riders suck, BC sucks. Time to assert our position back at the top of the mountain.
  22. Yowch. Hope he doesn't hold some resentment.
  23. Have teams ever kept a Canadian QB as one of the 21 national players and just not given them any snaps? Or would you just have them on the 1 game injured list at that point
