  1. We were pretty dominant this year. Not sure about 2019. We were a great team but I didn't go into every game with full confidence that eventually we would crush them in the 2nd half like this year. But whatever, I don't think "dominant" has a strict definition. 2019 we did it differently on offense. It was our run game that defined us. Of course, when we had zero passing game (streveler) it was a lot more difficult to run the ball. That's why Nichols or a new on the scene Collaros was able to get us the cup. 2021 our offense transformed quite a bit where we are now relying more heavily on our passing game. We still run the ball well but 2019 we were un-cfl-like in how much we ran it. Of course with our revamped passing game we needed a good passing QB. And we still need it IMO. I don't think we can go back to that run heavy offense with the personel we have. Plus I don't think Buck will want to.
  2. Maybe we should be focusing on an under-the-radar rotational Canadian player in FA? Seems like a shrewd pickup Walters would make. Just can't let our Canadian depth get depleted too much
  3. That and we routinely drop multiple linebackers into coverage. And it's easier to do that if the d-line can make the stop
  4. Unless there is someone big available at FA then yes I agree. I've not thought about losing Collaros much because it just seems so dark of a timeline Everyone would love Burnham
  5. Agudosi, Blake Jackson, and Cam Meredith are pretty good prospects for us, I think.
  6. Weren't they running a bunch off tackle in those games with DJ Foster? There wasn't a lot of film at the time and I think we were partially out-game-planned.
  7. Can't sign everybody back. So focus on our leaders and Canadians. Can fill holes in free agency (not everyone gets a big deal) and scouting. Canadians are not easily replaceable. Leaders like Bighill, Bryant and BA are not easily replaceable. Certain guys that are veteran and versatile aren't easily replaceable (like I said before, Darby is someone I'd like to bring back). So all that being said were probably going to have to fill some holes at DB, maybe a receiver and DT.
  8. With Lucky making 200k its going to make it that much harder to sign our own guys for reasonable deals. F***
  9. Live and die with our defense. Our ends, biggie and BA. We already have Nichols under contract who is arguably our best cover guy. IMO those are the priorities. I also really like Darby
  10. Thought that to be extremely likely yeah
  11. I have not. I started following him on Twitter about a month ago because he gives no shits lol. Especially hates Hulk Hogan which is a lot of fun.
  12. There was some twitter activity that makes me think the two Jeffs have something in place already. It's just a feeling.
  13. Yeah I'm not the boss here but I'd say let's take the non football talk offline
  14. Who do y'all think will be the first major signing?
  15. Exactly. If anything athletes probably shouldn't be using anything because they're athletes. But I'd have a hard time arguing alcohol was better for your body than weed. I personally flipped over as my go-to because alcohol kills my stomach and I almost never feel great after having any amount of it. Weed at worst I'd feel a bit groggy
  16. Maybe both teams have shitty af defences? Then it just comes down to the coin flip. Hypothetically both teams could very easily score on the first drive. Football is a team game and NFL rules takes half the team out. CFL rules does the best in taking the coin flip out of the equation. And also gives both defenses and offenses an opportunity to play. I wouldn't mind moving the ball back for CFL rules as well though.
  17. I didn't think anyone had a problem with the current overtime format.
  18. I think most reasonable people see it as back to back. BTW, I still can't believe I survived a year without CFL football.
  19. Agreed. Glad our team doesn't allow this stuff to get into their head like it does to some fans. Honestly IDGAF what journalists want to write. Some around here seem to think that we have all the best players and we make all the best plays and anything less is a slight to our team. After two Grey cups in a row let's not be that fan base. I know we're not there yet but it's best to check ourselves
  20. Well that's the thing right? If Osh felt he was the worst kicker in the world then why would anyone ever sign him including us? No real reason to. There are many guys out there.
  21. A lot of time before the next Grey Cup. Your mind may change. And if he struggles there's no stopping us from doing what we did this past year. I think this is saying that Osh liked what he saw from Mourtada and were not paying big money for a kicker the entire year
  22. To be fair he did make 12 of his last 13 kicks (field goals and converts) before Castillo took over.
  23. First penny pinch - Mourtada over Castillo? Also a chance that Castillo will be trying NFL.
