If Connor gets a 7 x 6 million offer sheet, Chevy will match it immediately.... that is way under market value. Remember if a player is signing an offer sheet it's because it is a significantly better deal than what their team is already offering them. So take what you think is fair and tack a million and a year on top of that. An offer sheet for Connor probably comes in at 8 million for 7 years and for Laine it would be 10 million for 7 years. And you match both. If Laine is offer sheeted at a value that gives you four first round picks, you let him go. Otherwise you keep him. Connor you match any offer that comes in because no one is crazy enough to offer him over 10.5 and give up four first round picks.

2019 CFL Season: Around the League
Eli may very well be a better prospect but he also would have gone a lot higher if the other GMs knew he was intending to continue playing football. I bet this guy is on the Riders roster within 2 weeks. He is better than Braden Schram at the very least.

2019 CFL Season: Around the League
Starting centre for three years in div1 FBS, with some pro experience and no NFL interest... don't think anyone needed to feed BS to 3DN, that's a top prospect profile every year.

That's a steal with their third rounder. Shocked that BC wouldn't bid a second.

Well safe to say I mostly disagree with this assessment floyd the polar bear expert but I do agree that they need an MLB, badly.

Around The NHL 2018/2019
Well we need a top 4 D somehow. Let's say Connor, Laine, and Copp sign for 19 million combined. Then we've got about 4 million left to sign 3 players to fill out the roster.... you're not finding a top 4 D in free agency with that money. The only ways we can feasibly free up money is to trade Perreault, Ehlers, Lowry, or Kulikov. I believe Bryan Little has a no-move clause. I don't think there is a market for Kulikov and that leaves another hole in your defence anyways because he can at least play in your top 6 D. So you're trying to move Perreault on a not-great contract or shipping out one of your young homegrown players in Ehlers or Lowry. Or maybe Logan Stanley can play in the second pairing and solve all our problems, right?

The qualifying offer for Beaulieu would have been 2.4. I'm not sure if he is worth quite that much. Maybe.

In my opinion these changes actually make a lot of sense for the Lions and I like that they are taking drastic action to correct their poor start. Steward was a terrible centre, Foucault is a natural tackle, and most importantly Termansen was absolutely brutal at corner. Dozier at safety and Thompson to corner should be a big improvement in both spots.

Why would Drew Wolitarsky want to live on Endor with a bunch of two foot tall ewoks? This does not make sense!

- Riders @ RedBlacks
As much as I hate the Riders I actually think they are going to be ok. I actually thought Fajardo was a great prospect when he showed up in Toronto and I've never understood why he can't stick anywhere. I think he's going to end up as their starter for all the remaining games and they make the playoffs over BC.- Next Up ... Edmonton here
It struck me as odd too. I guess it would have something to do with Streveler's consistent production of rushing yards and touchdowns because they are worth more than passing stats and Nichols' numbers are typically not worth much in fantasy. Streveler runs for 40 yards and 2 touchdowns and that is 16 points. Nichols throws for 200 and two touchdowns, that is also 16 points. And Streveler often tacks on some passing yards and even some touchdowns. I haven't gone through the numbers but I'd be curious to see Nichols vs Streveler's fantasy points on a weekly basis in 2018. I know last week Nichols put up 19.4 and Streveler 7.4, but I think that 19.4 would have been one of his best performances in 2018.- Lock of the Week 3

Definitely going to be a little different team next year. I wonder if they will shake it up even more by shipping out another big name.- Next Up ... Edmonton here

The pick we acquired in that trade turned into Christophe Normand not Jesse Briggs. Regardless he was a good player for us for three years and still a CFLer.- 2019 CFL Season: Around the League
Bombers with Nichols-Streveler is very good.... as is BLM-Arbuckle... Arbuckle doesn't have much experience yet but he's going to be a good one. Beyond that, I don't think anyone could even make a legitimate case. Ticat fans might say Masoli-Evans but that's just wishful thinking. SSK and MTL aren't even in the conversation. TOR doesn't have a legit #1 but two very good backups... EDM has Kilgore backing up and BC has O'Brien, both of whom have proven only that they should not be pro QBs. Quarterback depth in the CFL seems to be at an all time low. Hope everyone stays healthy.- Lions @ Eskimos
I think Esks win this one. BC looked pretty mediocre last week. Reilly-to-Burnham will be deadly all year but that's all they got.- Riders @ RedBlacks
What an undisciplined, disorganized mess the Riders have become. Bush league team.- Riders @ RedBlacks
The offence carrying the Riders today while their D and ST are atrocious. Didn't see that coming.- Riders @ RedBlacks
Dom Davis is looking really sharp now- Riders @ RedBlacks
Aggressive hand fighting... borderline offensive PI in my opinion
