This game is uglier than a whores ass.

The deep game isn't Nichols strength and it's not this teams strength so yeah it was a mistake to constantly try for the big plays. This team wins by ball control on offense, why go away? Yeah you gotta take shots, but last night was too big a departure.

and what if Masoli didn't get passes on target while being hit while throwing? There's luck both ways not just for the Bombers. Winnipeg was the better team all night and they screwed around and let Hamilton hang around rather than finishing them off, but every time Hamilton would score to make it closer the Bombers responded with points. Not sure why Lapo was using the Edmonton huck it deep playbook rather than his usual ball control offense but what ever, they got the win.

That would only matter if the riders knew how to use their talent on offense. About the only play the riders can run is pitch it up and hope roosevelt makes the catch.

I suspect Reilly is feeling the hurt from the hits he has taken already this year. It is a shame we got Edmonton in the first game when he was 100% or we might have had more success pressuring him.

Sometimes rookie qbs can be successful, but it's never in a **** show situation like Montreal. Put them on a good team with good offensive lines and good receivers and it's a hell of a lot easier.

Lots of guys who just out athlete everyone at lower levels struggle when that athletic playing field is leveled and it's the smart and hard working players who have the most success.
