2018 Matt Nichols
You are the one that said no other coach had to deal with a qb playing poorly and then turn around and say you don't care about other teams qbs, don't spin too hard or you'll fly right off the face of the earth.

Regular Season Bomber News & Discussion
Oh please the "whining" by Nichols is nothing. That's just frustration from a losing effort coming through. Guy isn't like that, just a heat of the moment lapse in his usual attitude.

Edmonton at Hamilton - Week 11
The replay showed his back foot was basically on the line or just before it, his forward foot came down over the line but he'd already thrown the ball before that came down. It was damned close but I think they got the call right. Threw the ball at the last possible second but I do think he got rid of it.

I hate to break it to you, but at 370 you aren't fairly trim. I mean biggest i ever got was 6'4 about 260 and yeah I was feeling chubby. I'm around 240 now and ideally I'd be probably 225 but I like beer and pizza too much so I'll live with my current figure.

I can't believe you are making me defend an NDP premier. Listen no government is going to lessen the tax burden on us, and like I said, the liberals are going to force a carbon tax on this country anyway so might as well go with the one that Notley gave us. I actually have more respect for her as a politician being pragmatic than Trudeau and his social justice warrior ways. I also trust Notley a hell of a lot more to get this pipeline built and put some appropriate regulations on the energy sector over Jason Kenney. That guy only cares about outing gay kids. That has no place in politics. Kenney will not play nice with other governments and will bury Alberta with his Trump-lite ways. As for shutting down coal plants, that's just a good idea anyway. Convert that old **** to natural gas, we are swimming with natural gas in this province anyway, might as well use that for our energy. It's like buying a new car rather than fixing up the old POS. Yeah it's an upfront cost but worth it in the end.

They may not be a lot, but then again the carbon tax isn't a lot either, and given the mood in governments everywhere a carbon tax is coming one way or the other, whether it's a provincial thing or a federal thing so we might as well get used to that.

You unfamiliar with Lapo and how much trouble 2nd and long gives his offenses? Get in 2nd and medium or short and it's deadly but no first down production kills it, as it does the entire CFL really.

Stopping it is easier said than done. Harris is a top player and that's a good offensive line.

Oh come on, low incomes got a rebate on the carbon tax anyway. Motley has kept the NDP nonsense to a minimum and I trust her a hell of a lot more than Jason Kenney whose only goal is to sell us all out for a quick buck.

Anyone who thinks Streveler gives this team a better chance of winning compared to Nichols really isn't paying attention. Nichols wasn't the problem against ottawa, that would be the run game getting taken away. Nichols or Streveler, it doesn't matter. If lapo can't lean on Andrew Harris this offense isn't going to work very well, especially with lankford in place of dressler.

God I remember a couple years ago thinking foketi was better than hardrick. I don't think we lose anything talentwise making that change.

The best you hope for with lankford I think is that he doesn't **** up... but he ****** up last week dropping a td pass. Just not reliable enough to be a big factor.

This province has said no to social conservatives before. I reiman hopeful they will do so again.

Canadian Politics
Good, maybe then we can get some proper progressive conservatives. I am so sick and tired of social conservatives co-opting the conservative name. Praying to god Alberta wakes up and doesn't vote for Jason Kenney too because we have no need for hateful people like that running things.

Some observations
This is the CFL not the NFL, how you play in the early season really doesn't matter, it's how you play late in the year and you don't need to worry about building a big record early, just be playing well in the fall. Too many people get too hung up on what happens in one single week round these parts.

The way to win in the CFL is pretty straight forward, avoid turning the ball over and pressure the opposing teams qb. See who does that better this weekend and the team that does most likely wins the game.- 2018 Matt Nichols
If we are discrediting Nichols wins because of who he beat then how can you make Streveler seem better when the only team he beat is that sad sack Montreal team? He also lost to the same Hamilton team that Nichols beat. Listen I am a huge Streveler fan, I think the kid has all kinds of potential, but he's not a better player than Matt Nichols at this stage of their respective careers and the facts back that up.- How to beat Calgary Saturday
Using this logic, and I've seen it a lot of places, you can't claim a win against a good team unless you beat Calgary.- 2018 Matt Nichols
Streveler 1-2 this year, Nichols is what? 4-2? This isn't even a question. - How to beat Calgary Saturday
