Qbing is a football wide issue. Its worse here, because of the reality of canadian football, but it is an issue every where for sure. Nailed it. We've said and done many right things this offseason, but until I see sustained change Im not betting on it. Canadians are the back bone of every DL. You just can't carry 7 imp dl and have them take all the reps. Its sad, but schmekel was our depth. If we flipped wil, then we could rotate lawson with an imp db at wil. Not wrong lol, but we could see those guys play till some even crazier ages at this rate. I refuse to even think about next years cfl while there is football going on.

Thats a good point too. The OL is gonna be really really good. Wallace looks to have taken a big stepforward so far too. It is really deep too. 100%. Unless someone hits on QBs in this league soon, the league is going to be raiding old folkes homes for QBs. Knew going into the off season no one was gonna fix QBing problems from with in the league. Next years FA qb crop probably wont be better either. Can confirm, sky not falling. Also, the ground is not trying to escape through by way of the air any more. All clear on the western front. We have a lot of solid upgrades from last year, and an addition by subtraction. Last years 10 wins was a bit of smoke n mirrors, but on the field I expect us to be one of the most improved teams in the league. We will be dumspter diving for Wrs, and probably for DL both ni and imp this year, which is frustrating. But its still overall an A- off season.

We all know we are counting on a resurgent zach and any thing less including a significant injury has us cooked, short of another zach level miracle with one of the back ups or a trade. 1-2 imp wr injuries/busts will do about the same. If either of those happen, we are probably a 5 win team. May 7-8 if it happens mid to late in the year. The Defence should be exceptional. Even if things go bad on D, it should still be pretty good. Teams too.

It makes sense, since the new play off format makes the regular season an extended pre season. Ok its not that bad, its just 18 games play off seeding now. It reminds me of the "season doesn't start till LD" mantra of the past. Where the first 1/3-1/2 of the season was like spring baseball.

It sounded like they thought ott would take him. Which maybe true, though I doubt it. I tend to think he would've been there later still. I also think if we went to WRs instead of / before going to Lbers (once again) we would've been in a much better situation. Instead of Bouliane, who has no path to being on the AR short of 6 guys getting hurt, we take one of Udoh, Ulm, or Ojutalayo (who is a better teams piece instantly any way.) Then instead of Brody clark, who is the same as bouliane but needs 7 guys toget hurt to see the ar, You could take sibley, or Cenacle. Personally, Id a taken Ojutalayo and Cenacle. Yep. At this point hes 2 years away from being a hail mary come back.

9, he’s number 9. lol, i don’t think you’d get him back here for all the protein shakes in muslce beach. We will be able to get better talent for in depth at wr and dl after cuts happen. which is really sad.

Ahh that makes sense, thanks. I expect it to be a lot of tcf offensive ni depth outside of rb is the opposite of the D. The D is highly athletic, real football players with tons of upside and good size with great versatility. The O ni depth are warmish bodies with the right passport and little else. Next year they will really have to focus on building ni skill position depth.

never mind. We brought in tachinsky at wr and fellow bison kaleb mackie mcleod. All our problems are solved 😜 Mcleods athleticism would be fringe if he was 30lbs heavier. Why tachinsky as a flyer now but not in rookie camp? smells like desperation to me. Also brought in former elk late pick and school returnee kolby hurford. Solid size and production, good athleticism. Boy what does this say about briton and jack though lol. Maybe we should try to stretch peterson and even mci into the wr spot some. I bet peterson would pick up routes real fast. He’d be nasty off the waggle too.

We lack a lawler type, but we also aren’t going to stumble on one. And it takes time to develop a wr. At this point i’d just give rhymes the bag. But it isn’t happening. Nah not every guy is a stat filler especially on the back end of the ni roster. Korny is tcf at best though. waste of any spot other than that.

boy that sucks. We don’t have a lot of ni dt depth. I wonder what zach davis the riffles kid from last year is doing. is he with the bisons now? sure should. I’d bet that doesn’t happen. For one lawson is the only guy on the roster who is a real nose. One of our rookie imp dts would have to be an absolute monster to steal that job, even then i wouldn’t bet on it happening. would’ve been nice to have kept adams, but he didn’t take any steps forward while here. schmek has made him self into a legit end of the roster ni. He was brutal as a rookie, but he improved a lot. Plus he diversified his skill set with blocking in heavy set /kick team. With his hustle, foot work, hand use, and intangibles, I think most teams would’ve converted him to a guard or C. If he picked up snapping reasonably well (which snapping to the pistol is not nearly as difficult as deep shot gun) he would be an excellent C.

expansion out of desperation. trying to expand to stave off the league dying. changes 2 years out when the league is at best year to year is beyond a hail mary

2nd best game each week is toronto level attendance. Meanwhile the st. louis games are in line with the 3rd best drawing team in a bad week. St. louis is the only real drawing team. Most of the 10k attendance claims week to week are free tickets that don’t even get used. a big chunk of ufl games are only attended by friends, family, and 100 or less fans

very good chance. Maybe acl, or some critical hammy tear, but probably achilles. I kinda of get it with jsk. flyer on a guy we know well at a position that isn’t a need. High upside, fairly low risk. So long as we didn’t give him a massive upfront bonus. It would be nice to dive in on the younger guys that’s never been our mo.

A real champ over achiever. I loved that guy, soo much heart and just played his ass off. You can really see that trend in our D too. Smith, shay, ayers, and woodbey for starters. We have some other big dbs who are sam tweeners too. The secondary and second level have soo many guys that are modular and can play many roles from many alignments. The athleticism of our canadian defensive back ups is really tremendous too. We’ve gone from those guys being the outliers and massive luxuries to that being the barrier for entry. Most all the those candian D subs are not just athletic outliers, but they are tough nasty hard nosed football players. Not just pile of cross over athletes trying to make a go of it. That versatile athletic canadian defensive back up core, is going to be a major back bone to our defensive success this year and going forward.

Stuart has soo much upside, sam/lber body with the athleticism and raw tools to run with wrs and cover. I’d love to have him on the ar early to play teams and develop as an actual db. He was a great sleeper pick. Idk if we’d have to hide him. teams don’t usually poach rookie drafted canadians if you pr em. idr the last pr poach at all. Pressure should be on both hallett and kelly. Ball really over achieved last year and had some flashes. Kid plays his heart out.

lawler wasn’t a recruit he was a bc cut, but he was the best of a bad group of young guys. schoen was on fire from rookie camp on, tc was a bit more quiet as we had a lot of wrs getting reps then he did the same thing in pre season as he did in rc. You’re pressuring what it’s being based on. It simply isn’t as talent loaded as we’ve seen. Those bigger crops haven’t really panned out either, maybe someone like singer could step up and perform really well and our guys could stay healthy and it won’t even be an issue. But the reality is, this group doesn’t have the raw talent or the polish of groups we’ve brought in previously. Raw talent at wr really pops when you see guys in 1 on 1s and skelly. You can see the flashes very quickly and clearly. We just don’t have much of that this camp. Be it rookie camp or full camp this year. A bumper crop at a position doesn’t mean success. We’ve seen loaded dl/dt, lber, and wr groups before, that didn’t pan out at all. That doesn’t mean they we won’t have a guy who over achieves or is just a game day guy, but it is a bit disheartening. Imo, the cuts we’ve seen like smith who showed a bit early, is a strong indicator. We’ve seen 8 wrs cut and 1 new guy brought in. I expect we will ride with these guys and any one who doesn’t show out in pre season will be sent packing. I think we will cycle through cuts and continue to look to back fill wr talent. This crop might yield 1-2 guys who stick on the pr and that might only be for a bit. Pookie would be a strong case of a gamer. He had flashes but wasn’t lights out by any means. Even in the first 1/3, of his rookie year you didn’t think he’d be a 1k guy that year. I could see wilson taking a big step forward this year too.

I think our best use of the final offensive spot is a guy big enough to dominant none dl blocks, but athletic enough that they demand a lber/db tweener at best. When it’s a 6th ol, or a guy like daniels, we hurt the run game and limit zachs ability to put the ball where he wants (down field) When brady is at his best, he’s aiming and pressing the A gap but ready to one cut and hit the b gap or press off tackle. When we play a 6th full size blocker, Ds go to an extra dl. Usually a di with every other team basically carrying a di dl every game. That 1, reduces the gap size and window between the tackle. But 2, moves the off tackle point to a spot that is hard to reach before the second level closes the angle. Daniels as a replacement for the heavy set edge blocker role that eli used to come in for is great. Though im not sure he’d be an upgrade over schmekel in that role. I think daniels potential long term offering to zach as his pressure release guy is great. More than just dropping size I think he needs that mobility/movement training to be enough of an asset in the pass game. Daniels vs peterson for a spot would make sense if we are going heavy set base a lot. Though I really worry about how thin we would be with offensive play makers. We really need some one to take a big step forward as a play maker on offence. We have basically no ability to absorb an injury to an offensive play maker.

yeah I think the last wr will rotate in package for sure. I think we are likely to see more heavy sets than 5 wide sets.

kenny was pretty good in his first camp, he came here mid to late in the season and was on our pr after a camp with the lions. A lot of optimism as wide spread after his first year playing in 19, more people doubted bailey would be worth keeping around

peterson is listed twice, so one of him for one S. They’d probably go hallet, even though he’s toast. If mcis flashes at rb end up being for real we might carry one ni rb, we could use that spot to carry a 6th ol (ick) or daniels and run a full time te while a ni wr back ups and bumps cobb off

I think Pokey and White will be good, but itll take a while for every one to get on the same page as zach and the play book. Wr, QB, 2nd De. The spots to fill, and at this point Im ready for us to settle for the DE by committee. And I don't expect any thing of impact to be done at these spots all year. Honestly Im not worried about MCI as a blocker. He progressed a lot last year. I'm pretty confident he will do well. I'm mainly concerned on if he will become a usefull skill position player or not, his potential and draft spot are a lot to not make use of. He has looked better this camp as a tail back though. Novak I think they will find a way to get on. Kelly or stewart will make it as well. I think Kelly early, but I think we scored on Stewart.

I feel like the yare all looking for a kenny lawler clone, as if to prove we can pump them out so it wasnt a mistake letting him go twice. I cant believe how few young imp wrs we have in camp right now. And they are all very similar. Atleast throw out some one line daniels and see where he winds, what we can do etc.

Marks looks like TCF tbh. I don't get what our scout team is doing when it comes to looking at WRs.
