Knees to the head will never happen... hell heel kicks to the kidney (from guard) just finally got reinstated and even that took years and had to be fought for.

The only thing the yellow card system did was save Pride money.  Fighters still stalled just as they do/did under the unified rules.  They'll do whatever the ref let's them get away with.

Better entrances would be nice though.

I read on twitter that this fight isn't going to happen.

It's 100% unconfirmed but it was cro cop himself who released that image so it has people speculating.  He's listed as being in the main event  against a undetermined opponent so it could just be him trying to push for that fight.

All I ask UFC to do is to have the big intro and better walk in entrances. Also get knees to the head back in the game.

The yellow card also was a good thing.

The pride entrances were awesome.

12-6 elbow rule, knees to grounded opponent, the cheesy hand on the ground to prevent knee/kick. Pokes to the eye. Most of jon jones arsenal basically. They are well on the way to fixing most of those problems and I imagine in the long run they will fix them all.

I would be OK with soccer kick to the body, and what the sport really needs is a new scoring system. That and ref/judges that are MMA specialists. Still see some horrible scores and decisions.

Oh, and a real solution to weight cutting. I like what ONE fc is doing but its a start not the finished product.

Just watched the last few fights.....

Anthony Johnson is a scary man....

For the main event... Joe Rogan was absolutely terrible.   I never seen him favor one fighter over another.  Brian Stann is way better at being impartial and telling the action as it is rather then over exaggerating one fighters action over another.

I had McGregor winning easily... glad that he got the decision.

Just caught end but fight looked bloody good. Too bad the ref gave it away on the score card reading.

xD it was a pretty terrible job of scoring any way. conor won the 4th for certain and destroyed in the 1st and 2nd. The 2nd should have been a 2 point round with 2 knock downs and a ton of damage.

Tons of finishes, but aside from high lights you didnt miss much.  Rumble is savage, why you go at that guy early ill never know.

Eh hes easily swept up in the momentum of the fight. He was heavy on mcgs nutts early and diaz late. Though the 5th was really close and that take down late was any thing but big. I hope to see him move to fight companion full time sooner rather then later. Hes entertaining and I like him but he isnt the guy to do that job.

Yeah I had it 49-46 though 49-47 is very easily possible too. Who ever had it 47-47 should be fired from any sort of judging.

Rogan always has had this problem where if he likes a guy he will sell way over the top for his guy.   In the 3rd round he was screaming for Diaz and saying McGregor was done and gassed.  Every single punch (even if it was a punch that was blocked) he would scream.  Yet in the 4th round when Diaz slowed down and was getting kneed in the clinch... he was silent.   Rogan is terrible.

Observer:

USADA announced Wednesday that Jon Jones and Brock Lesnar could be facing a maximum suspension of just one year for the

ir recent drug test failures, and not the traditional two-year ban.

Ariel Helwani first reported the news on MMAFighting.com.

Both Jones and Lesnar failed drug tests by testing positive.for hydroxy clomiphene in and around their scheduled fights at UFC 200. In Jones' case, he also failed for the letrozole metabolite. Jones was pulled just days before his fight against Daniel Cormier, while Lesnar's results didn't come out until after he had beat Mark Hunt on the show. It was revealed Lesnar failed tests prior to UFC 200 as well as on fight night itself.

The reason for the shorter suspension is that hydroxy clomiphene is classified as a "specified substance" under the World Anti-Doping Association (WADA) code. According to that code, that means it's "susceptible to a credible non-doping explanation". To WADA, specified substances can enter the body inadvertently, allowing governing bodies to limit suspensions.

Both Jones and Lesnar still face the possibility of fines and/or suspension from the Nevada Athletic Commission. On Tuesday, Lesnar was placed under temporary suspension while he awaits a full hearing. This is the first PED suspension for either fighter and penalties are usually less severe for first-time offenders.

2 years is kinda excessive. Considering it wasnt performance enhancing, and in brocks case the testing he popped on wouldnt have made any sense if he was using an un caught PED. 1 year is still pretty hefty. For jones who has substance abuse violations in the past makes a bit more sense. Though honestly i wanna see him defending his belt more then i want to see more lay and pray by brock.

The ufc is putting out this doc on cm punk in pieces. I saw clips from his sparring sessions linked from one, and wow his stand up is some kind of horrible. Idk who has worse technical stand up skill brock or punk. Punk how ever doesnt have any of the extreme physical attributes brock does. Might have to bet to farm against on that one.

Mickey gall is no joke.
