Tik Tok is so 2022.....us old guys trying to keep up with our teenagers just learn an app like Tik Tok to find out they've all moved on from that now.

lmao that's so accurate. I wonder what the kids have moved on to now... I think the league needs to hire some teens and cut right to whatever is current.

I feel like this has been the CFL since maybe the 80s, but at least since the Rocket was in Toronto.  The times since then that the league has been on point with the demo you target for growth are few and far between.

Could you imagine if we did a demographics breakdown of MBB? 18-24, 0. 18-29, maybe 3. 30-50, 2690. Then 8 or so whose SIN numbers have less than 3 digits.

So very accurate.  I feel like online forums really hit with my generation, but the kids today they're all on "the socials". The older generation is still calling in to cjob for their discussion.

Sports stars are weird now. I feel like most leagues don’t build stars any more. Success gives guys a chance at a platform and it’s up to them to capitalize. Social media has really changed and quantified stars at various levels.

Would I like the league to do better with marketing stars? Yes. How should they go about it? Idk.
I think the skills challenge / qb challenge would be a good start. Maybe a Netflix show, better game day production would be big.

league needs to do a wayyyyy better job game day

They also tho should have 2 weekly shows....one focusing on the players...back stories...special interest stuff ...etc....and another with league news....highlights....discussion with people not named Kate...

Radio? That's fine for you young whippersnappers. I will take my horse and buggy to the game and then read about the team each day in the newspaper that is delivered to my mailbox.

My grandpa was born in 1915. He followed his beloved Leafs in the newspaper and had buddies who'd phone him with score updates.

True, game day shows need to set a tone and entertain. If any thing have the schtick on that rather than the game day panel.
 can’t stand Kate.

Id love to see some of what lapo has been doing on his yt, and what we’ve seen teased by matty/milt previously. The in depth player / Xs n Os break downs.

back in the day score or maybe sportsnet had a show with some cfl guys talking and being regular guys. I remember one with swac playing pool in particular.

Is the mic-ed up half hour show TSN does reaching anyone? I personally don't care for it, but again, it's not about reaching me. I'm already there. I'm curious if anyone else (especially younger) is into that particular feature...

Can’t stand it idk it’s soo disjointed and repetitive.

If they want to improve the TSN panel then Kate has to go. She adds nothing to the discussion. She thinks trying to be funny will cover her lack of knowledge. It doesn't.

It's not her job to be knowledgeable.  It's her job to facilitate discussion from the knowledgeable people. Unfortunately tsn subscribes to the American idea that a panel needs to be the entertainment and clowns are supposedly entertaining

Her lack of knowledge doesn't even facilitate discussion. I'm sure she smokes 5 packs of cigarettes before every broadcast.

FWIW:

Ferguson has his 2nd mock draft up.

Mock Draft 2.0: Who's going first overall to Calgary? - CFL.ca

3DN has their top 20 O-Line for this draft & there are 2 locals listed in the top 15 (#7 & 14) - I wonder if we take one of them on Tuesday.

2025 CFL Draft rankings: offensive linemen - 3DownNation

I just sincerely hope these mocks end up being as nonsensical as they seem to be.... Not prioritizing OL/DL with early picks is a recipe for disaster.

The continued belief that we'd use a high pick on a QB just doesn't make any sense to .  I get that it's probably one of the best years for Canadian QB's and that's ultra rare and a great story but I just don't see it happening.

I needed a good laugh, thanks for sharing. We go db and QB? Yeah ok lol. Elgersma who hs NFL interest goes 13th? Sure. On the bright side, I am sure our draft will be handily better than that.

Especially in this draft that is soo deep on the line. 6 line men in the top 10 (12 in 19) and the think we go db/qb LOL. Pyle slides to 56 past us all but the last time too.

She still needs to be knowledgeable...and realize it's not about her at times...TSN can do better....If they just want her to bring up talking points...give her a few things and stick to that....and not extend it into the Kate comedy and variety hour show...as its just cring worthy and amateurish

yup...deep draft with actual guys outside of the top picks who can actually play more than teams...and a few who likely end up best in class after the first round

A pick of a QB early is a waste...and pointless...this desire or fascination of a "canadian" QB is just idiotic and pointless....Promote your top Canadians at whatever position they are playing....trying to make the Canadian QB "happen" is just a lesson in futility...pointless and doesn't serve any purpose whatsoever....Who cares where the QB is from...any player for that matter...Pic your top 22 Canadians...20 Americans and whatever globals we move forward with and play them accordingly where they are the best option and sort it out

It's a great draft for us to restock on mid roster and up Canadians. If we have another draft like last year we will be in good shape for years to come.

I might consider a QB in this draft, but only in a likely transition to WR, while still being able to do the QB sneak duties. Senecal would be the ideal target for that IMO. That guy needs to have some streveler type heart and work ethic, willing to make him self a useful player on teams as well.

I watched it a couple of times. Not for me. Just the same thing over and over. Give me 10 minutes of PLAP explaining something once a week instead.

Hey, us guys over 50 have at least 5 numbers in our SIN.

I agree. I watched a bunch of Lapo's youtube work last year and it was top notch. Some of the best actual football analysis I've seen. Gotta hand it to YT as well, one of the oldest platforms out there and they remain relevant even to teens.

Whoooooo! Yeah Baby! TSN! Shout to everyone back home! Grunting noises.

The whole show feels like someone's AV class homework.

I can't imagine who would watch all of that each week. Or even once. Maybe if they made it a clip show of the best on field hot mic moments and included it in a highlight of the week package. You could even package it in a high energy segment like the old ESPN NFL "You been jacked up!"

I thought yours was 20? 😉

An age ranking of posters would be hilarious. My money says Zach Schnitzer is the youngest, he knows how podcasts work. Gotta be right?
