Fun to sit and watch practice today... Been about 20 years since I was last able. With respect to the late great Randy Turner, the king of Odds and Sods writing.... here's some thoughts: -Al

  • Just to speak to Wolitarsky’s character and just what a good dude he is … few years back, some friends and I went to go see him play at Earl’s on Main and we ended up chatting with him and Streveler …

Really easy to always say that there's some mystical coach out there that would be a better fit.  We've been through generations as CFL fans watching teams including our own who keep believing that.

You're ignoring the move they made to acquire Jake Maier for an 8th round draft pick, which was a great deal I wish Walters would have jumped on.  He easily qualifies as the 2nd or 3rd best seasoned backup in the league behind Fajardo and MBT but at only 27 it remains a mystery whether he will emerge as a QB that can lead a team or not.  It's fair to say he's a superior backup option than anything the Bombers can roll out this season, and if Harris goes down in game 2, they won't be in a state of panic or despair.

Sign all the subs from your old team heading down yet wanting your team to be heading up. Great start, Goveia. What a lazy ass GM. Nothing will change in Hamilton.

McEwen for 150k seems like a great price, I'm disappointed we were either not interested or not willing to pay up

If they wanted to replace kolankowski Eli has been there for years. This is a case of the team sees the guy differently than we as fans do.

I don’t even think that it’s about how they view quality. I don’t think they value the C doing much more than snapping. It’s a role position for them. The value they put on 6th, 7th ol and fb is nutty as well.

Have to wonder.......as Kolo looked useless against any kind of inside stunt, all year....

it’s been his whole career, it’s just become obvious to the point that teams have game planned to get to zach through him for two years now.
But to be fair, basically every plan of attack worked against our ol most of last year.

And people need to stop thinking Osh...or many coaches for that matter don't  have bias and personal favs for whatever reason that will trump better talent....tho Osh is exceedingly bad at it

If an opportunity to upgrade a spot is there...regardless of who it replaces you take it..Is that on Walter's here...or does he allow Osh to have too much sway...influence?

Fact of matter there was opportunity to upgrade several areas...and we chose not to...

Gagnon and McKellar were the two guys I was hoping we'd be after.  Decent already, still with some upside, should be good value.  Edmonton likely overpaid McKellar because Hervey struggles with the ratio.  McEwen and most of the others that hit the market without pre-determined destinations are on the steep decline.

That's every free agent. No one knows where they're going until they get an offer. They're all on the decline?
