Anyone wanna guess who Menard signed with? Lol it's just funny at this point.

It actually makes sense this year (assuming they still want a Canadian starter there) - they've lost a couple on the Canadians on the DL (Kongbo, Laurent) from last year so Menard can help fill that hole.

It’s funny until they run roughshod over everyone with a fresh d-line every 3rd play.
If Taylor Powell can take the next step, seriously look out.

Just looking at their stats last year & it would seem that having a fresh DL didn't do too much for them.  They certainly didn't run roughshod over they league as they finished near the bottom in sacks with 41 (the L's & Riders tied for last at 40).  and 6th in average rushing yards allowed at 112 yards (ahead of the L's, Riders & Stamps).

Their terrible QB play did lead their to be on the field the most in the league (33 minutes a game) but that was only 10 seconds more than the Bombers at 32 min & 50 seconds. We had better results despite our lack of depth along the line (50 sacks & 90.2 yards rushing allowed per game).

Hamilton's dline looks great on paper, but seriously underachieved last season. Sometimes there is a fine line between a healthy rotation and guys just not able to get into the groove because they are not getting enough reps. It's a balancing act.

They have Stanback this season, that's going to make a difference.  They've lost 2 years running to the Bombers in the WF, expect to see some changes made to overcome that hump, my bet is 50/50 they climb over it this season.

I'm not sold on their OL improving in the run game or their offense to be as high powered as it was last year allowing them to focus on running. The media is hyping them up, but IMO they lost more talent than they gained on O. And they're hoping VA can continue to improve AND stay healthy. Cottoy/Emulis/Hollins doesn't worry me in the least.

I just think if bc tries to run more it will negate what made their offense work which was "passing yards go brrrrrrrr" they made a ton of big plays. You run you are basically committing to a more methodical march down the field style.

Agreed. Ball control hasn't been something VA has been able to do. Adding to that, I don't think they have the WR to make those big plays anymore.

I never underestimate our ability to cling to those guys.
I do think we need a 4th qb on the pr who can run the strev package.

I think that Grainger we just signed could...Wilson possibly too...moves very well....and actually looks like he has the knack for hitting guys when he on the run as well....

BC has to find balance in it's offence. Passing numbers are fine and good but come November it leaves you with a 3 spot on the scoreboard.

I don’t think either is a dynamic running threat like I have in mind. They could run it to some effect but I don’t think it’d be worth taking our offence off the field for.
Wasn’t Johnson a converted qb? Some one like that would be decent in a pinch.
