  • I've got some time, so here's what we've talked about on the CJOB Sports Show (happy to answer any questions for the next little bit): WR has been consistenly Lawler-Schoen-Demski-Bailey-Wolitars

  • Agudosi with a great catch deep for the td.. match up nightmare mare.    Bailey catching everything in his direction. If it were my first time watching the Bombers I'd say he's their best pl

  • Just got back from practice. Got there a little late, left a little early. Thought I'd write up some notes with the obvious disclaimer that I have no idea what I'm talking about. But people are hungry

Questions re Lawler situation:

1. Him being suspended... Does this help us with the cap?

2. Why did he only plead in April? Was wondering if maybe this is whu he didnt play against us last year (to prevent being arraigned in MB)

He doesn't get paid until he's on the roster.

Courts in Manitoba are that far behind.

Sometimes either the Crown or the defence will ask for continuances due to either having a weak case (and hope for a plea deal) or the defendant has personal circumstances that present reasonable grounds for a remand.

Fwiw, Bauming says don't expect cuts to be announced today and maybe not tomorrow either. They do have to be in by 10pm to the league but might not announce til Monday.

Tait seems to think otherwise. But I do understand where Bauming is coming from. The team doesn't rush these things.

Ya just saw that. Osh will not release a thing until he's absolutely forced to, because **** everyone else.

Which is honestly ridiculous at the league level.

Post the cuts and rosters once the are submitted.  Why is it up to the individual teams?

I'm pretty sure MOS just wants to make sure he tells each guy first. Some guys are cool with just leaving a voice mail or letting guys find out on social media with everyone else.

Too bad about Salima but as I was saying in the GDT, just don't see how you can keep him given the ratio.

No way.

McCrae was kept because he doubles in that pass catching/receiver role when we need him, but Salima looked like a classic RB. Needed to change the ratio to fit him and he wasn't THAT impressive.

Lieghhio lost the trust of the coaching staff. They may have seen an improvement in Leggs at TC but... memories are long. They were probably afraid to give him another chance as he could struggle again as a kicker/punter. We all know once that trust is gone it's real hard to earn back. Especially froma  specialist who isn't an every down player.

Honestly, this seems like a precursor to the current run of success ending.

So much for In The Canadian Mafia We Trust. C'mon so now the sky is falling?

I don't think they lost trust in him as a punter. As a kicker, yes. They brought in Castillo. And then these globals were that good.
