If nothing else after 1 game, the entire DL was more noticeable and got more pressures and whatever else than they did last year. Game 1 I noticed ceresna, Lawson, Willie, Dixon and Jenkins at times. Last year you noticed Willie occasionally. I don’t think we are on Calgary level but we have certainly upgraded the talent level significantly. Jake to Jake is just it’s going from the outhouse to the penthouse. I think 1 dude can make a difference and I think that 1 dude did game 1. That allowed the others to step up. Jake won’t dominate every game but his presence will help the others step up. Lawson ain’t no slouch either and Jenkins and now fletcher are likely upgrades on Vaughters and Korn and whoever else we trotted out last year. Talent level vastly improved there but really it’s just 1 FA signing.

Except we have sucked against the run for years now. Years. Even with Bighill we gave up big time run yards. Our d bends but don’t break. It bends lots when teams decide to run. Interesting stats in the game. Zach and VA pretty much even stats. Completions attempts yards tds. Zach had the 1 pick. Brady and mills pretty much exactly the same also. Turns out VA only targeted the 5th Calgary receiver twice. He had 1 catch. Our 5 Cobb targeted once. 1 catch. Corcoran 0 for 1. So pretty much same usage. Don’t see it being an issue. Zach don’t look at option 3 much nm 5 unless it’s a designed play.

Not long ago, most of you were thinking Kelly was the future stud. Now he’s the new JT cuz he’s taking practice reps? Okie And no that guy should not be starting or even taking any reps Gets lit up more than buckcherry In hockey they have goal songs. In football they should have DBs get beat songs. JK (says it all) but his would definitely be Lit Up by Buckcherry cuz every time. So one of you guys call the coaches show and make it interesting by asking about a guy like Kelly and why when he’s lit up every time does he keep getting chances.

That was the first game this week where both teams were bad. Like both Ottawa and Edmonton have big holes to fill. They can probably compete with the Winnipeg Calgary Montreal Hamilton of the league but, In the end, Edmonton and Ottawa will lose more than they win. Cuz for us much as maybe complain at times, I’d take Rankin and Mack on the bombers and maybe a linebacker or 2 but that’s it. They got some holes to fill. Ottawa? It’s a rebuild there it appears but with a bad QB but the bad QB wasn’t really the biggest problem.

I’ll just say this, generally in the sports that do these kinda play in playoffs like basketball and others, the bad teams still lose their games. The better teams win overall. Some teams get help from a pro wrestling vampire like character and don’t lose again. And honestly the idea I think makes sense as if I hear playoff game as a fan I think it’s more important and it likely means there’s a higher chance I pay money to go see the playoff game. Look at Hamilton and Ottawa this past week. They were half empty or half full, maybe if that’s aplayoff game it’s full cuz maybe there is no next week. I don’t think you can say cfl needs more revenue then go no not that way. I dunno. Again, I think you said it in another post, gotta give the changes a chance.

Eli has been here 5 6 seasons. I think he is what he is at this point. Lots of us didn’t think Eli would be starting. In reality they decided kolo was the better center option than Eli. I think ppl need to accept that maybe Eli just isn’t a starting oline. Other than cuz ppl online said so, what makes you think after 5 6 seasons of backing up the worst center in the league that he’d be better than the dude he was backing up. Maybe just maybe, crazy thought, the OL coach Marty, maybe he knows why Eli isn’t starting and really hasn’t in his career. I’ll let ppl pretend they know linebackers or DBs or receivers but fans pretending to be oline gurus? Cmon man gotta draw the line somewhere.

I didn’t think winter was cold. Just more snow than the last few years combined and now it’s plus 40 again June 7 making it feel tropical rain Forrest like but with tornado warnings. That seems worse than October to me.

You know after watching mills run all over us, If dudes could tackle he’d have had less than half his run yards. Why can’t our guys tackle? They all go for the big hits it seems. If nothing else but he was, Osh wouldn’t miss tackles like that as a player. Must piss him off or maybe it’s lack of padded practices? Somethings different. Bighill didn’t miss tackles until he was cooked. Are jones and kyrie cooked? When was the last time Tony Jones made a tackle for a loss or less than 2 yard gain. ??

With the bombers victory last night and the fact that I enjoy his posts, I’m officially ending the grudge against Mike I mean Booch. I think it’s the same dude cuz Mike responds to posts about Booch so prob forgot to log out ;) oops right. Anyways tho. We don’t win that game last year. And that’s a great sign of good things to come. D struggled early, o bailed them out, kept it close. D stepped up 2nd half, O did also. All 3 phases contributed and you love to see it. But hate to see Woodbey hurt like that. Any updates? And did Tony jones play? Cuz holy owned.

VAJ falls to 7 and 4 against the bombers.

One more thing. All 3 phases contributed in the end. D stepped up after giving up all the TDs in the first half but did allow the late TD but the O stepped up and were consistent through out, then Sergio won it. That’s a game we lose last year. 30 points and our D scored no points is crazy.

Ceresna with the debut of all debuts. Didn’t like the linebackers tho. Major Williams played well. But 3 stars Ceresna Brady Zach not spectacular but nothing stupid. HH Vaval for the field position.

Timmy. Nice. Bombers O looks better than last year already. D can’t stop a run or pass tho.
