You think you're upset try not winning one once and awhile?
OMG I can't believe I'm actually defending the Riders but I don't think this is true. But they do suck a** though, don't get me wrong.

Game 26 : McJesus @ Saviour Stafford
Reluctantly, I have to agree with you about Buff. What's going on with him, looks like he's just going through the motions, mentally not there. We need him back.

Game 26 : McJesus @ Saviour Stafford
I think a guy like Tanev is flying under the radar right now. From what I've seen, I'm liking his game. I'm hoping he takes a similar trajectory as Scheifele did but with a bit lower expectations.

Game 26 : McJesus @ Saviour Stafford
I really need the Jets to win tonight so I can walk into my Edmonton office tomorrow doing my happy Friday dance waving my Jet flag every where I go.I especially like doing it in formal business attire with very serious people. It shoots up my popularity sky high. For those who haven't experienced being in enemy land the day after when your team wins, it's a great feeling. It's the little things in life that drive the show. :-)

State of the League Address
Or, something like 'Look I'm not in the position to make a comment about the link between the two but I will say we are constantly trying to improve the safety of the game for our players, that is priority one'.

Waste of time ...
Most, if not all teams, go through a funk, i.e., losing streak during a season. This is one of those times. Obviously we need to break out of the funk sooner than later. I am not ready to give up on this team just yet. Look at the Oilers, lost five in a row (I wish it was more) and now they are back to winning consecutive games (which I want it to stop).

Game 22 : Donner Party @ In The Wild
To a degree, I'll accept that. It's a good line. I think when we say 'shows improvement', that can be a very debatable and complex type conversation. Every team expects to show improvement, every team, imo, should set the expectation that they will make the playoffs though some teams will adjust their expectations to desire when winning it all comes up. Let's use the Jets for example, Every year we should 'expect' that the roster compiled should make the playoffs. That is our expectation, not desire, but expectation. That is the culture we are setting here. Yes, it may be a hefty challenge for some teams, but that is the standard we are setting for this team every year. And if we don't we make the playoffs, what necessary changes/developmental approaches to their plan are needed to do that. With that standard set, attracting talented players who are uber competitive can help on top of showing them dollar signs. I would not want a GM or Coach heading my club to ever walk into a year not expecting to make the playoffs. The only way he gets to say that if his owner has totally handcuffed him or he's taking over a team in complete disarray or he's a first year team that will take some time to mold into his vision. Just my perspective.

Game 22 : Donner Party @ In The Wild
I dislike this line very much because it means nothing. All 30 teams are developing in some way or the other. Yes some have more realistic expectations to win it all (re: spend to the cap) but all aspire to make the playoffs full stop.

VEGAS
Yup your probably right from a financial point of view. I just think having the Quebec rivalry back in the league would be a great thing for NHL fans experience. I can hardly wait for Golden Knights versus the Blue Jackets rivalry.

VEGAS
I'm just more amazed they got in before Quebec.

The Expansion Draft
Personally I would protect him. I've come to better appreciate what he brings to this team. He'd be one of those guys you'd wish you'd have back if he left.

Around The NHL 2016/2017
Yup. We do though need to stop the bleeding. We've been managing nicely until this 3 game losing streak. Go five hundred from here until Little and company get back and we'll be okay.

Trouba wants out (Trouba has signed)
Therein lies Trouba's risk with signing a two-year deal. I'm not sure what, if any, long term deal was rejected but if he doesn't perform the way we hope he does, he may have left some money on the table.

Game 20 : Franklin Expedition @ Clam Chowder
Buff's my man but wow, short memory time for him. He did not play well, looked disinterested almost, skating in mud. Patrik laine's defensive game needs work, but hey he's only like 12 so that should improve. I'll state the obvious, to make the playoff's we have to limit consecutive losses in a row. Stop the bleeding now against the Canes who btw have won 2 in a row.

The Manny Show - Loffler was a hit
That would be called stand-up wrestling. :-)

You be the Boss
Yup because money can't guarantee everything, i.e, a starting position, a loyal headcoach, a great supporting cast, familiarity with management, a previously successful season to work off, an understanding of the city and it's fans etc etc.
-
The Manny Show - Loffler was a hit
Yup read the same thing but also read that's he's been cleared to play so I assume they're resting him till game time.

The Manny Show - Loffler was a hit
I'm actually quite surprised by this. It looked like (can't confirm) that he was knocked out cold. When that happens, the trend is the show usually gets shut down longer than a week. I do assume though they are not putting him at any risk other than the potential of getting clocked again which all other players do anyways.

Game 19 : Road Trip @ Philadelphia Feeling
It will be interesting to see if Petan has shown enough to the coaches to stick with the big club once these guys check back in.

You be the Boss
I would think it's Matt Nichols job to lose. That's what I've seen with with MOS during his Tenure here. Unless of course Management overrides him which I don't see happening.

NHL Injury Watch 2016/17 season
And I'd add, we will see an increase of this slashing/hacking/cross checking sh*te as we try to take out the body aggressiveness in sport. In a way, it's a bit ironic.

NHL Injury Watch 2016/17 season
Watched Calgary's game last night (because the NHL forbids me to watch the Jets on TSN3 as I live in Alberta) and he was hacked and slashed two to three times last night with no calls. If I'm a Flames fan, I'm incensed. It was ridiculous.

Around The NHL 2016/2017
Makes sense for both teams. When he is on, EK is a quality on-ice player. Evander's style of play may free up some of their other offensive players, give them that spark they need. To quote the President-Elect, what do they have to lose?
