Living in Eskiblow land, Bowman has become a great ambassador for our game if that means anything. I met him a few times at football functions and seems to be a great guy which is a favorable thing to have for our locker room dynamics. I think he's become a better rounded player since leaving the Bombers not without some deficiencies as Booch and others have alluded too.

Unfortunately I watch alot of Oiler hockey and Letestu is sucking hard this year. Yes Hendricks is 36 and as I said I'm only looking at this year for the Jets and he's doing more than what we expected he do. Re-evaluate this off-season whether we re-sign him or not.

Ask the Edmonton Oilers if they miss Hendricks this year. I can guarantee his other attributes he is demonstrating this year on and off the ice at the very least cancel out his lack of skate speed. You can keep letestu, he's garbage.

I say leave Hendricks alone for this year heading into the playoffs. His ROI is pretty good right now. Come off season, sure think upgrade.

I just don't see this happening anymore with the latest attack on the top FBI leadership. You would think that Mueller and crew are even more laser focus and going to hit back hard, real hard as much as they can. I wonder how pissed Mueller is? Or does he keep his emotions in check and stay on point? Years down the road we will learn more of this.

But you're statement about ppl coming forward after 10-20 years needs to go away makes me think that I hope you don't have anyone in your life that something bad has happened to them that is not their fault but for years has felt afraid (which could involve many different types of legitimate reasons in their silence) of speaking out. There is that type of person out there.

I'm wondering if this model has worked historically. And this new irritating term (I don't why specifically it's irritating to me but it is) 'own rental' and if that's a successful approach. Could not we trade for a top six forward (read on Atomic's post) with the strategy of signing him longer term? Sort of like we did with Stafford.

Added to this it will be interesting to see what does Chevy to shore up our lineup with a possible trade or go with what we got. His conservative mo suggests no tinkering but maybe he will surprise us.

I remember listening to a NHL coach (can't remember which one) explaining that picking your lineup for the shootout is a mixture of intuition, gut, guessing, and their in-game play. So picking Hendricks may have been done by what Maurice saw with him throughout the game. Not a big deal unless he keeps picking Hendricks and he keeps not scoring.

I like Laine matched with Ehlers better but that's just arm chair QB me.

I'm not convinced it's his physical decline. I think it's more of his psyche. That's just my gut instinct tho.

Simply from being mesmerized from this ongoing gong show, how anti-climatic would that be . Like Geraldo opening the vault and nothing there. After 68 years of investigation we have found some serious improprieties but nothing illegal. Blech. The longer the investigation takes, the worse or better it is for those being investigated? IMO I think Yost somewhat overstates and over complicates the use of the word weaker teams. Regardless of how teams made the playoffs (and yes I agree there is room for improvement in how that is determined), all teams made it because they did what they had to do. All 16 teams who make the playoffs are strong teams comparatively speaking across the league, however, obviously some playoff (and non-playoff) teams are stronger than others and some playoff teams are the strongest of the pile.

I'm wondering with Durant in the fold will this influence O'Shea's approach in going to the QB bullpen a bit more often than previous seasons.
