  1. We may have to go 3 IMP OL, and I am Ok with that. Randolph represents a massive upgrade to Dobson. If Wallace is good enough to beat out Randolph I will be tickled pink. Would like the Bombers to still pick up a solid NAT OL for insurance though. 8th could be FB like in past years or we use a NAT safety. Another option is nationalized IMPs. Dyson.
  2. Back to back MOP and highest rated QB in 2023. Yep..we didn't need him. Yep. Last year wasn't a great year but he was the best QB by just about every statistically relevant category in the last half of the season. Was the highest rated QB in 2023, and back to back MOPs the two years before that. I will entertain the notion that he may be on the down slope, and that his playoff performances are at best average but the revisionist history about his over all contribution to this 5 year run we are on is kind of mind boggling.
  3. We should cut him. To hell with the Grey Cup.
  4. Ford is the next Dirty Sanchez as far as NAT DBs go.....but it really is hard to justify 200k+ on a DB...doesn't matter what passport they have.
  5. Spot on the field in combination with our backfield defensive scheme make a lot of our guys shine. Ford is impressive though.
  6. McEwen would have been a nice get. We need a NAT OL. Dobson is no loss to our starting calibre of play but hurts our depth because Wallace will be a starter now.
  7. He pretty much said it was on Edmonton radio a few days ago. He was taking his wife home.
  8. Thanks for showing up Migs. Been awhile. How did you hack auzzstriker's account?
  9. You are welcome to your opinion, and who knows you might be right. If we regress this season, I may join you in this opinion. Just not willing to do so yet as we have won our division 5 straight years.
  10. Not trying to be an ass, just clarifying what your position is on MOS. You think he should be fired. That's your opinion and you are welcome to it. Just so that it is clear to me, and everyone else, what the motivation for your criticism is, I do not feel Osh is the sole reason for our success at all, far from it. I just feel we would not be able to upgrade on him and I feel he and Walters have done an excellent job together in building quality football teams. If you think MOS's time has expired with our team, that certainly is a possibility. I just don't believe that a coach necessarily has an expiry date. I believe players do and that the coach needs to recognize that, but I also can see the logic in a coach being loyal to guys and how that can help the locker room and recruitment/retention. Either way it's a balancing act for sure, but one that can be maintained even if the scale tips one way or the other occasionally. At the end of the day, the players still speak glowingly of him, play very hard and disciplined for him, and the culture and locker room is strong. I guess I'm not seeing the end of the road yet, as you are. That's not me being chicken little or in denial, that's just my opinion based off results year over year. You see some mistakes he is making and think they outweigh the positives, I see mistakes he is making and think they do not outweigh the positives, there really is no definitive winner of this argument. It's solely opinion on both our parts and we are both entitled to them is all I'm saying. Neither of us can prove each other wrong, nor do I feel the need to do so on my part. You will bring up the negatives of MOS, I will bring up the positives, it's the ying and the yang of this forum's discussion about him I guess.
  11. We did add by subtraction in a couple areas but that wasn't contingent on FA really.
  12. Yea...that's an understatement for sure. Still time and some good players out there but so far we have been hunting bargains.
  13. Ayers is under contract and the NFL window is now closed for players under contract I believe., He should be back.
  14. It has been a less than ideal FA period this year so far, but the nice thing is that it is only February. Lots of time to make hay, and we should have the money to do it. Like the year Bighill fell into our lap late in the offseason, I am hoping for a big impact signing like that out of nowhere. Maybe it doesn't happen, but until TC opens we don't know what our team is for sure. Yea....I'm not going to crap on what we did sign. Some quality depth pieces there. However, we do need a few pieces for sure to round things out.
  15. You keep saying you think Osh is a great coach and that you never said he should be fired, then talk out your ass like that. Which is it? Pick a lane. If you think he should be fired say so. At least it will be honest. If you think he should not be fired why make a comment like that one?
  16. He hid it about as well as one could, but it was very apparent something wasn't right.
  17. Most interesting thing I found was that Strev had a broken rib in his first start that really limited what he could do after. It seemed apparent he was injured, now we know. Fully healthy, this guy can still truck.
  18. Yep, been a while since anyone mentioned him. Is he back? Not sure I heard anything about him re-signing.
  19. Dukes will likely have better passing numbers than Strev, but Strev will win you more games. A lot more. If we had a healthy Strev to replace ZC in the cup last year, Bluto would know better than to say such an outlandish thing because he would have watched Strev run for a 100 yards and 2 TDs to get us the GC win.
  20. I don't think Dukes is in any way, shape, or form better than Streveler if I wanted to, you know, win a game.
  21. Cameron Dukes is a young Fajardo without the Jesus Sprinkles. He can't make every throw and therefore has a low ceiling. You are way over rating him.
  22. Strev is never going to be the 2nd coming of Dieter Brock. With his skill set he doesn't have to be. Will he ever be a bonafide starter in this league? Hard to say. However, he is a guy that can come in and win games if he has the right game plan given to him.
  23. Why take a 15 year view of things in the CFL? Most of those years are not even remotely applicable to now. Different GM, different coaching etc. etc. Saying that Toronto is better than us at developing QBs currently, because of Collaros or Harris is nonsense. In the last 5 years we have developed 2 backups that either spend significant time in the NFL, or are now providing quality starts to another team. I would say our track record developing QBs is pretty darn good right now.
  24. Yep. Depth at best. Not one grabbed a spot and ran with it.
  25. That certainly makes sense as well. Hope we don't have a windfall of money left on the table tho. Love to get these guys wrapped up if possible too tho. I'm not against leaving some money back for extensions, but we need to spend because every other team is going to. Kyle Walters might feel that way but Wade Miller is standing around drinking Booster Juice telling Kyle how much he cares about a home Grey Cup. Make no mistake, the stakes are high for Walters on giving us our best shot at our cup THIS year, and of course, that's going to be KWs stance just before FA. Can't let the players know they have an extra bargaining chip because he has to go for bust.
