Wasn't Taman's secret to his success signing guys with big bonuses later thus creating a small window to win big before the cows come home to roost? It will be interesting to see if he's able to resign guys he needs to resign and/or of the Riders continue to be a top team over the next two or three years.

Silly post. To say Burke and Creehan have risen to incompetence as HC and DC so they should not be DC and Positional Coach makes little sense. In those roles, both are proven commondities. If I recall Nelson's D were ball hawks and aggresive. But I could be mis-remembering.

Perhaps they will expand Cherry and MacLean to other programs. I wouldn't seeing Maclean become the host of NHL on Rogers.

Good. CBC should not exist if its survival depends on massive government funding. Especially considering how political CBC is. If they simply aired HNIC and The Beachcombers so be it. But they take money to push an agenda.

Rogers gets creative control over HNIC in this deal so if anything, HNIC will be changing.

Apparently Rogers gets creative control of HNIC and exclusive national rights on Wed, Sat & Sun. I read the Cup Finals will be off CBC in four years also. Major push by Rogers. Presumably they will sign away some TSN staff as well...at least lets hope they do. I wonder if Bob Makenzie is a TSn lifer... Dreger? How about TSN counter by convincing the CFL to start June 1st and add two games making the season 20 games per year. That gives them an extra month of something...lol

Does Sportsnet still have the multiple national feeds? Thus, they could have regional-specific "national" games, such as Leafs in Ontario, Jets in Manitoba, etc?

I don't have a problem with getting popular acts. I just don't know Hedley and what I saw yesterday they seemed pretty crappy. The guy can sing but the songs just seemed rather pointless teeny songs. I'm not a Beiber fan but he's huge so what can you do. I'd always advocate The Guess Who because Burton rocks live and they're a huge band.
