3 stars plus hh clipped the birds wings
1 - D-line stuffed the run all night and got to Fajardo frequently. 2 - Oliviera he wouldn't stop pushing forward, the even better bonus is Forde only referenced Andrew Harris once from my memory! 3 - McCrae showing that people complain way too much on our depth and roster management and whining about not having Salima or whatever his name was. HH - Alexander for a well timed interception that sealed the game. The bozo of the night - Refs missing frequent face masks by the Als

Bombers @ LOL’ouettes GDT Week 4
Wow my head hurts from listening to the annoying Als crowd and stadium music. I can't think of any gaming experience at any live event which has so much annoying noises played over and over and over again. Even if I was a home town fan it would annoy the hell out of me. Great game by the Blue, the score somewhat flattered the Als. I'm hoping McCrae is not hurt, I don't think he saw the ball in the 4th quarter at all? Fajardo actually had a decent game all things considered, I guess he's not completely washed up. Stanback did nothing at all and didn't seem to have any holes what so ever, good job on stuffing the run by our guys.

Ottawa against Edmonton
I said HC and OC, not sure who would be GM. Either way it isn't about titles... look at what the hell Jones has done in the last 2 seasons. He's insane. LaPolice being chosen because it's an easy hire and someone who can at least take over instantly without a learning curve of being a HC. I don't think he would be the long term hire.

I'm calling it... in three weeks Paul LaPolice will be HC and OC of the Elks for the rest of the season. Also I forgot the terrible short yardage attempt in which Edmonton lined up their d-line lol. Jones is such an idiot.- The WFH Thread
As an employee with Federal and working from home I can confirm that any talk that productivity or delays as result of working away from the office is 100% full of poop. It's propaganda because of the pressure that Ottawa (and other) downtowns are facing from the local businesses who are complaining that business is down because the federal employees are the ones buying coffee and lunches from them. I've worked at 4 different federal gov't agencies in my career and I know first hand that people are far more likely to not work a full 8 hour day, take excessive breaks, get distracted with conversating with fellow employees when in the office. Also the mental health aspect is a huge factor, not having to spend 1.5 hours per day in my car rushing to get home to pick up my kids from an after school program is a massive benefit. I also know people who work with the provincial justice system, they were back logged prior to COVID because the sheer amount of crimes in Manitoba is incredibly high. That number of crimes sky rocketed once people were locked at home and drinking more and whatever other factors that lead to people committing crimes. Most of the provincial staff had to work in office because the system is antiquated and still uses a lot of paper. I'm not sure where Lawler falls in but it has nothing to do with WFH or Hybrid. Unions do protect bad employees, but what you are complaining about is a management issue. I've seen people completely hide behind the union and do absolutely no work, but it's not like these people once in the office work hard and then at home stop. These folks won't work no matter where they are and who they work under.- The RIP 2023 Thread

I just watched the game and the ego of Chris Jones is screwing the Elks massively. Cornelius should of been inserted in the 2nd half after the first drive that Doege went nowhere with. What a complete joke and that Edmonton team has all quit. Very little of them are hustling or trying to make physical plays or even really do anything. No attempt at stripping the ball or receivers diving for the ball. I can't believe how bad they are right now, this is Tim Burke bending over and taking it bad. Ottawa at least played physical and Khari called a really good game for Adams. Adams reminds me of Richie Williams and that's not a compliment. Really skinny qb with an awkward and slow delivery and a weak arm that will not do well in bad (winter) conditions. I don't know if Edmonton wins any games this season with Jones in charge?- Random Jets News
Hopefully he can retire a Jet down the road- Restaurant/food thread
The wife (I assume it's the wife) older lady messes our orders about 75% of the time. She'll start recommending the bison or elk roti's and spend minutes trying to get everyone to order the "cream soda" like drink and then she'll write down and bring out those things despite us saying no and ordering different items. After doing this three consecutive visits of her serving the wrong order we then learned to ask her to repeat the order before taking it back to the kitchen and that seems to work. She doesn't mean any ill will and is very friendly but I believe she gets easily confused. Edit: I forgot to add that they (she) also likes to change prices on the fly, we were over charged a few times on our meals because the prices on the menu were out of date. If you go on google reviews you will see several people complaining about her adding extra money to the bill. So double check the bill and make sure she doesn't change the prices on you.- Restaurant/food thread
I don't think they do dine in anymore, I've tried a few times over the last few years and it's always been closed. Roti's are solid but the wife running the front is kind of in her own world. Always double check that she writes down the correct order because in the past she would change our orders on the fly lol. I do recommend also checking out K&S Island Grill on Portage Ave, also home made and they definitely have a much more hotter spice level on the various items.- CFL - 2023 Regular Season - Discussion Thread

Much appreciated breakdown!- 3 stars plus hh bc kicked our @$$
My intrepretation of what he is trying to say is that he thinks the Bombers came out playing their A game and the Lions came out and played A+ and topped us. What I think most people on here are saying is that the Bombers gave an F or D level effort and the Lions played a clean but not spectacular game (B) which against our F level effort made it easy for them. - 2023 Free Agent Frenzy
