I blame these ridiculous no contact practices. The league should reverse their decision and mandate new league-wide rules for QB conditioning at every practice. To begin with, QB's should be made to run the gauntlet while their teammates swat them aluminum bats. Afterwards, all players over 300lbs should take a turn performing the peoples elbow on the QB's throwing shoulder. Do this a couple times a week and you'll virtually eliminate in game QB injuries as those tough bastards will be ready for anything. That's how conditioning works right?

Lame Offensive PI on Duke Williams and a non call on the Reilly head hit (it was for sure a head hit) perhaps robbed the Schmoes of a comeback win. Brutal for Edmonton.

Only barely though. And thats with an Ottawa defense that spends less time on the field, while probably getting fewer reps. So few that he would rather be unemployed.

I look at the failed gadget gamble as an attempt to demoralize the other team early on. Obviously it didn't work out that way... but imagine we capped that opening drive with Nichols catching a TD pass. That would knock the wind out of their sails a tad. After a chance encounter with Wade Miller on the morning of the Edmonton game, myself and four coworkers were each generously gifted a pair of tickets to the game (on account of my excessive fandom). Even though we work right near the stadium, most of these guys had never set foot inside, let alone seen a live football game. They were really into it, though, and wanted to learn more about the team. After googling the Bombers a bit, one of them asked me what the 'Fort Hew' hashtag (#FORTHEW) was all about. It was good for a lol. I thought was a story worth sharing, and so Fort Hew was born in all it's glory. At least I like to take credit in my head every time I see it now Seriously that was one hell of a first football game ever. I'm actually a bit jealous.

^^That's a fairly solid list of contributors. Will we be suffering PTMD if someone like Andy Mulumba or Chris Matthews shakes loose and comes our way? Will we need to hold our noses to sign Mack picks/finds all these years later, no matter their potential impact to our team?

This sounds logical to me. Unfortunately I don't know where to verify those numbers. Can I find average starting field position following a kickoff on cfldb.ca? Or is this more of a 'feels true' statement than an 'is true' statement? I don't have a horse in this race, I just like to know the facts.

I just noticed that the league average for kickoff returns currently stands at 22.1 yards. Bombers lead the league with an average of 23.5 yards. Why would we be unhappy with 25 yard returns on the regular?

Riders have the worst one by far. When they moved to the new stadium I thought perhaps the siren would go away. If anything it got louder. It sounds like a bunch of people hitting the panic alarms on their rigs and tractors and buggies and such.

Hmm... I don't remember seeing noise makers being given out. Maybe those inflatable clappers that make a goofy 'doink' noise? 25% off horns and bells at the kiosks... I don't really buy it. We're just plain louder, even with a bunch of unwashed Rider fans clogging the crowd and sitting on their filthy hands while we're making noise.
