OK, it IS Willy ...
I don't think you can read too much into our second half offence. How often does a team dominate like that in the first half and then continue it into the second. It's a combination of less-risky play calling, taking the foot off the gas (mentally it's different), and push-back from the other team (adjustments) Contrary to belief it is not risky to throw a deep ball into one-on-one coverage on the sideline. If the receiver is any good he will at the very least knock the ball down. If you want examples of teams letting up, just watch some of the teams the Bombers played early this year with Willy in the lineup. A lot of people think we were a good 4th quarter team but really we were just good when the game was out of reach. But this time we were on the right side of the ball

Special Teams
I would have said McDuffie is quicker, faster and more slippery than Fogg before last night. Now I thin Fogg is just as slippery and is a smarter returner.

Does a blow out against the Tiger-Cats cost MOS his job?
The thread title just asked if a blow out would cost Osh his job. Not a loss. Now we must discuss the blow out against the tiger cats costing him his job. I say no.

Roster moves July 17
I think Cole was looking for NFL opportunities and then got hurt? Not exactly sure what his deal was but he's the man opposite Westerman if healthy.
-
Depth Chart is up - Johnny Adams listed on roster
It's either Adams or Sheppard sitting. I'd imagine it would be Sheppard. It especially makes sense if Fogg is returning kicks.

Depth Chart is up - Johnny Adams listed on roster
You really can't be in game shape from practice. But it can help. He is a veteran and likely knows his role on ST inside and out. There is a big difference between physically being able to take special teams reps and physically being able to go out there for every defensive rep

Depth Chart is up - Johnny Adams listed on roster
Good point. I may have worded it wrong. Maybe "ease him into the lineup" would be better. He wouldn't have to be the next man up with Derek Jones available

Maybe Adams does some ST work to get him in game shape?

Week 2 Other Games (Als vs Ott Sask vs TO Ham vs BC)
I can't remember a worse display of football etiquette. I knew he was going to get a DQ. Question is fined or suspended.

Weston Dressler will not play vs. Calgary
Probably a better all around receiver than McDuffie at this point but McDuffie likely gets a handful of plays based on pure game breaking talent.

Now forecast the east
I messed up the "who misses the playoffs" question. Voted Als but meant Argos.

Posters: Whats different this young season?
I think we'll be alright. Our offence being the problem spot from the first game, let's take a look at it: Smith showed flashes of why we went after him. Dressler seemed like he was going to have a big day until he was hurt. Both Darvin Adams and Jace Davis made big plays as well. And obviously we still have Andrew Harris. Once Willy shakes the rust off, and gels with his receivers, it isn't foolish to have tremendous optimism.

Final Cuts
Probably one of his last chances to make something of his football career. Plus we don't exactly have the most impactful national receivers... I don't really see a problem brining him in.
-
Final Cuts
I'm assuming we start 8 Nats for flexibility reasons again. 5 Nats on offence. Westerman shologan and... We would need one other national on the defensive side of the ball. Rotation between Hurl, Briggs, Waggoner, D Jones, Loffler?

Final Cuts
Having Randle and J Adams on the corners is a prerequisite for having a capable secondary. Bucknor makes too much money to be a backup.
-
Cuts and Keepers
No doubt he has to catch it. More of a lack of concentration thing. I think he'll end up being a good one. He has gamebreaker written all over him.

Cuts and Keepers
Really don't see how McDuffie doesn't end up being our kick returner. The dude's got game. He's got the high end top speed, shifty moves and an ability to shed tackles. He only needs a small crease and he's gone. As a receiver all of those skills translate quite well. Get him into open space and he makes the first guy miss every time.

Main Camp
Was there with our 6 month old and some family (holoman included) Wasn't super enthralled with the QBs but Willy to me was the best of the bunch. Harris is going to be worth every dollar we are paying him. He moves like he is a small scatback, but has vision, speed and size. Really amazing to see. Dressler and Smith get it done out there, using their speed, route running and technique. Adams seems to be a popular target for Willy again. Veltung stood out today making some of the DBs looking silly at the LOS and then getting down field fast. Other receivers that looked good: Davis, Mayo, McDuffie.

Royal Blue uniforms are officially back!!
I'm not a big fan of these double blue shirts. We are blue and gold.

Bombers sign two release five
Did I imagine that he had a couple interceptions last year? I hope this means they've found guys they are more excited about.

Turner & Denmark Released
This makes us worse for the moment. But maybe we can rely on our scouting dept this time?
