  1. Watched the BC @ Edmonton pre-season game last night. You can tell why Wally Buono needed to go out and get Kevin Glenn. He had no depth behind (a somewhat injured) Lulay in Beck and Partridge. Beck looked pretty bad if you ask me. He throws a weird short armed ball. Partridge looks a bit more promising, but these guys are both new and would be eaten alive in a regular season game. Edmonton is lucky to have Nichols back. If there is one non Bomber QB that I'm rooting for it would be him. Having to go through ACL injuries twice myself, I can relate as to how physically and mentally debilitating it can be. If he can stay healthy he will be seeing the field quite a bit this year. But yeah, they are extremely lucky to have him back because between Pat White and Jacory Harris, they looked just about as bad as you could in a pre-season game.
  2. This would actually be pretty awesome if he has good hands.
  3. Brett Carter playing 2 positions.
  4. Oh well at least it looks like this regime isn't going to be sitting around waiting for these "duds" to realize their "potential". I know it's an oversimplification but: May the best players play.
  5. Cotton broke some tackles in that game despite his "lack of size".
  6. Have to get rid of all the Mack draft picks, apparently.
  7. Ugh. He seemed like he had a nasty side to him which I was excited to see if he ever got his act together. Looks like that's it for him...
  8. My dream job: stay at home husband.
  9. And the Jaymar Johnson go-out-of-bounds-2-yards-before-the-first-down debacle.
  10. Hard to say. Hall came into the game looking poised and had a couple let downs from his receivers. It really sucks that he didn't recover from that though.
  11. I try not to read too much into receivers playing well in the preseason. Our leading receivers the last three preseasons have been Trevor Kennedy, Doug Pierce, Perry Floyd and Josh Bishop. It's just what I've seen from the guy in a couple training camp sessions and then at the game (whatever my insights are worth). It was a great play to read the comeback throw on the TD.
  12. Still nobody mentioning Kemp. He was Marvelous Marve's go-to receiver on his TD drive. Smooth, smart, fast. He's a playmaker.

Very true. I like the guy...he gets excited about the CFL. But honestly sometimes I think he is creating drama for his own sake using his twitter comments.

Ricky Foley...what more can you say.

Not sure what a better lawyer would do. The blame has to fall squarely on Scott Flory and whoever else was pushing the outrageous demands from the beginning. This deal should have been worked out in the off-season, with the players coming in with a more reasonable offer. In my opinion, if they hadn't have played hardball, they could have gotten a little more out of this deal.
  16. Could win a lot of games with a good team around him.
  17. I think O'Shea is just throwing that out there to try to get the NI's to step up. I've seen this as his plan from the beginning. When have we ever brought in import competition at guard and center? There is no way the Bombers can actually afford, ratio wise, to have 3 import olinemen. It's just a matter of which two positions on the line will have imports. Definitely LT, maybe RG, maybe RT.
  18. Kind of sounds like this might be the only pre-season that is not affected by the strike. I read that the players will not be able to strike by then.
  19. Saw that. Wonder why he would say that. Implies Bombers don't know where he is. I doubt that.
  20. The only runner. Might be starting if Watson can't stay healthy. I thought Taylor Renaud is doing good also ? Renaud is having a great camp for himself making a lot of plays in tough coverage. Don't know if he is starter material though.
  21. Feoli-Gudino looked pretty quick on the first day of camp, getting open consistently, but he was having trouble catching the ball. Glad to see he is now making some plays. IMO now the frontrunner for backup canadian receiver.
  22. Kind of sounds like Bucknor might have the inside track for that field CB position, with Donavon Alexander being a decent backup. It's good that these guys showed up as I think Robertson and Jones will need some time to be able to hang with the pros.
  23. Probably shouldn't be reading into it too much but...seemed a little weird to me that once he got hurt he was just standing on his own on the sidelines, rather than be involved with the rest of the position group (even if he wasn't doing the drills). Could also just be freeing up a position while he recovers. Who knows.
  24. Thanks Rich. Cya'll there tomorrow
  25. Great site. Responsive, pretty, and our members are not bad too.
