  1. I live near his hangout spot... he's out there almost every day. He has 4 at least different signs that he rotates through. I'm still wating for this one though:
  2. It's funny how things change, depending on who's signing the paycheck. Charles Adler is another one who has done a sharp left turn over the years.
  3. We have no idea what the club thought of him but there was zero chance they were going to cut Palardy in favour of a rookie. Palardy was coming off a club record breaking season in 2010 (a record he would match in 2012) so it was the right move at the time. Nobody, Calgary included, knew how Paredes would turn out.

  5. Don't recall Parades needing this much time to grow. We had him but as a rookie, he wasn't going to unseat Palardy, who was setting franchise records with us. He goes to Calgary after we cut him, and the rest is history. TBF to Leggs, Parades wasn't being asked to do all 3 kicking roles so that's on our coaches for maybe asking too much from a young kicker.
  6. People were bickering and that's his schtick so he started agreeing with people. Always has to go against the grain!
  7. Sometime I wish we had more reactions to choose from... a simple thumbs up or Go Bombers doesn't cut it. I absolutely love these quotes from and about Sheed. Is it June yet?
  8. Yeah just meant more in terms of being a primary target because if we stay healthy, he might not see the ball a lot. Ellingson missed half the season so it wasn't too much of an issue last year.
  9. Yep. the latest quote from Sheed is just as good: I'm so f**king happy for this signing. I don't know where he fits in wth our receiving core looking the way it does but I'm so glad he's back.
  10. Even more recent than the territory days, he was still an important figure since he, along with Jeff and others, started what is now Impact Wrestling. At the time, TNA was really the only option in North America for top wrestlers (besides the WWE) since WCW had been sold and ECW had folded.
  11. Doesn't look like he's ready to stop playing.
  12. Yep, they've managed the money so well they can no longer afford players they just re-signed a month ago. 🙄
  13. What a way to handcuff your GM. Good luck with free agency Maciocia!
  14. Outside of a press release, that's as official as you can get from the team
  15. What's the criteria for being a Winnipegger? Fox was born here but spent most of his life elsewhere while people like Neil Young were not born here but still have a significant connection to the city. If we're including anyone with ties to Winnipeg, I'd add Tommy Douglas & Tommy Prince to the list.
  16. https://www.cfl.ca/2023/02/10/report-kwaku-boateng-ticats-have-deal-in-place/ Curious to see what his contract looks like, coming off an Achilles injury.
  17. If any GM, other than KW, tries to draft him, they're going to be made an offer they can't refuse...
  18. Not sure if I'd consider this massive news... pretty much the only landing spot left for him.
  19. He had a pretty good playoff game against the Bisons (3 picks) but I haven't seen a lot of draft talk about him. JC Abbott from 3DN had him in the honorable mentions section of of an early top 25 article he did but haven't seen much else yet. He's supposed to be participating in the combine in a few weeks so I would expect to hear more after that. https://3downnation.com/2022/08/01/3downnations-way-too-early-top-25-2023-cfl-draft-prospects/
  20. Not saying he won't pan out eventually but he's now on his 5th team (OTT, BC, EDM, WPG, SSK) and hasn't been able to stick.
  21. If the reports about the aborted trade with Edmonton from last season are correct, we had a deal in place with him for an extension so I'd have to think they can't be too far off in numbers unless Lawler is using FA to drive up his asking price.
  22. You're assuming he reached out to the team. The team could have just as easily called him to see what his plans are.
  23. He signed a 2 year deal with BC, per 3DN. https://3downnation.com/2022/04/20/b-c-lions-dl-steven-richardson-suffers-significant-injury-during-workout-session/
