Game 66 : Predators @ Passenger 57
Lawless was saying the same thing basically. It might be an over-payment at first, but it can become a steal after that and you have him locked up until he's 30. He was also saying that being a small market team, they need to "win" a couple cap friendly contracts like that if they want to be competitive.

U.S. Federal Election
Title 18, U.S. Code, Section 921(a)(16) defines antique firearms as all guns made prior to 1899. This law exempts antique firearms from any form of gun control or special engineering because they are not legally considered firearms.

No, you have it backwards. You can buy an antique gun without a permit, that's why they verify the age. Too new means more time and paperwork and hassle for a pawn shop.

He's been doing boxing & mma commentary since 2014 I believe.

Just going to put this here since the other MMA threads have been buried. Vyron Phillips (a Minnesota native who moved to Winnipeg to train) is going to be boxing Roy Jones Jr on March 20th. Phillips won a contest that was originally supposed to be RJJ against an average fan but the commission said the contest winner needed a pro fighting record. Vyron will definitely be the underdog but I'm not so sure he doesn't have a chance against a way past his prime RJJ. He's a pretty good athlete (went to university on a basketball scholarship) with heavy hands and huge reach (like Jon Jones type reach). It's an interesting card that combines boxing, mma, grappling & wrestling including the following match-ups: Tank Abbott vs Dan Severn (MMA), Chael Sonnen vs Michael Bisping (grappling) & Kurt Angle vs Rey Mysterio (wrestling). Jim Ross will be doing the color commentary for the card http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2016/3/8/11177856/roy-jones-jr-opponent-announced-ur-fight-sonnen-bisping-tank-abbott-dan-severn

New poster for X-men: Apocalypse I'm definitely looking forward to this one.

Sure, why not. Whatever. WWE Network and Wrestlemania
They've used white ropes since at least 2010. They've gone back & forth but apparently Kevin Dunn think's white is more professional.

One was good too... it's the 3rd that sucked.

Upcoming Movies
There are tons of movies that are way longer than Civil War and way older than LOTR. The 1st 2 Godfather movies are early 70's and they're both 3 hours.

Random News Items
Personally, I don't care if a politician isn't 100% squeaky clean (how many people would be eligible to run if that were the case), but if you can't even acknowledge the fact that there may be skeletons in your closet then you don't deserve to be in running for office. That's the biggest difference between Hall & Wab in my opinion. Wab addressed his rap lyrics in a book well before he decided to run in this election (at least declared publicly anyway) while Hall (a self-professed technology expert) didn't have the foresight to clean up his twitter account. Add in Hall's "defense" and refusal to remove the offending tweets shows me he's not ready (at this point) to be an elected official.

Choice of channels coming to cable TV packages soon.
Still mad you're the only one who wanted to watch My Little Pony eh?

Choice of channels coming to cable TV packages soon.
And (at least for them) it will work. Of the 26 channels in their bundle, Bell has included 10 french channels, the weather channel and legislative channels like CPAC so right away the number of channels people might actually watch is cut in half.

That would be because whoever uploaded the stream, forgot to cut it out. It happens occassionally but it has nothing to with Kodi itself.

U.S. Federal Election
Even given the huge gun culture that already exisits, do you actually think for a second "the people" have the weaponry to overthrow the government?

Me too, I'm looking forward to seeing what it'll cost for just sports channels next winter. We literally do not watch anything but sports off our cable box right now.

Bell actually instructed it's staff to downplay the skinny package although their package is so horrid that it doesn't take much to downplay it! The other companies (afaik) aren't going that far, they're just making it harder to find the info on their websites.

By Christmas, every single channel has to be available as a stand alone option so you won't be forced to buy bundles.

Jets vs Oilers Heritage Classic
I expect it to sell out quickly. I hope I'm wrong though! I'm not sure where the $600 price comes from, since nothing has been announced. When the game was talked about last year (in January), Lawless had the average ticket price pegged around $170 (which is lower than what I would have thought).

Jets vs Oilers Heritage Classic
This is the main reason why I'm disappointed that Bombers STH don't get a shot at pre-sales. I get why we don't though but like you, it's my 2 favorite teams & the likelyhood of getting tickets off ticket master when they go on sale is going to be pretty slim. 3rd party ticket websites always carry some risk and I'd be ******* pissed if I spent the money and ended up with fake/stolen tickets.

Upcoming Movies
So I checked out Gods of Egypt yesterday. I had low expectations going in, and while it definitely won't rank on anyone's list of favorite movies, it was better than I thought it would be. It's fine for what it's intended to be (a mythology based action/fantasy film). If you go in expecting historical accuracy, you'll be disappointed, I'm a mythology nerd though so it was right up my alley and was a nice 2 hour break from reality. Next up: Batman v Superman!

UFC
Conor absolutely won the 1st round but if you look at the way he was throwing a lot of his punches, Nate's height/reach was an issue. He often had to jump into his punches to get into range... definitely not an energy-efficient way of fighting, especially when the guy is able to eat those shots like that. He's definitely more suited for featherweight, but the big weight cut probably makes that unlikely in the long run. Lightweight would be interesting because he'll still run into guys like Diaz.

The fighter's health is one of the reasons for the IV ban. If they can't rehydrate as fast after a big weight cut, they aren't going to cut as much. The amount of weight they put back on in 24 hours after weigh-ins is just as insane as how much they cut in the 1st place. They'll never completely get rid of weight cutting though as fighters will always look for whatever advantage they can get.
