I am not familar with him. What character issues? All I see is a very talented, high scoring player with size and ability. He had a tough contract negotiation, but that's not a sign of poor character. There aren't many players on our team I wouldn't give up to get him. The only concern I'd have with him is how much he'd cost to keep when his new deal comes up and if we're willing to pay. I like Ducky's comparison of Torts to Keenan. He likes having a whipping boy.

Game 23 : Jets @ Caps
Scheifele plays in the Jets top 6 but I'd be hard pressed to come up with 5 other teams where he would do the same. I put the number at 9 (Flames, Panthers, Wild, Preds, Flyers, Sens, Devils, Leafs, & Canucks). Still not great though. He's doing ok, but he's so inconsistent. That should get better with age though.

Game 23 : Jets @ Caps
Do you mean b/c you want them getting more playing time in the AHL, or b/c they're just not good enough? I can see an argument for your first point, but they're all good enough to play in the NHL. Lowry & Copp together is a very good 4th line imo.

Hasn't he won multiple Grey Cups as a GM?

You mean the yolk or do they actually eat eggs that have been fertilized by the male? Science burn.

We got worse each time we fired him. That points a finger at the players, not him.

Bellefeuille OUT.....
I'm fully on board with a LaPolice hiring. He did a good job in Sask as their OC, which was the last time he had a quality qb to work with, unless you count two games of healthy Buck Pierce at the start of 2010. Is there a way to hear an old H & L? I'd like to hear the comments for myself.

Sure, why not. Whatever. WWE Network and Wrestlemania
I think Seamus is booked to come to Winnipeg. Would be a nice bonus is he's the champ when he shows up.

How to eat food without being racist
That is unbelievable. In what context is it culturally insensitive? I'd continue to do it, wait for a ban or arrest and let some pro bono rights activist lawyer take it to the supreme court. I imagine one news cycle of outrage and embarrassment would cause an immediate reversal in that boneheaded decision. I don't know, the article didn't say. The article was basically an attempt to embarrass the university for caving in to one person's complaint. edit: here's the link http://www.ottawasun.com/2015/11/20/free-ottawa-yoga-class-scrapped-over-cultural-issues

How to eat food without being racist
Some people (not you KBF) have too much time on their hands to come up with ways to be offended. In another ridiculous story, free yoga on the campus of U of Ottawa has been suspended b/c it's been deemed culturally insensitive. They even had a meeting with all parties involved to see if they could call it "relaxation stretching", but that wouldn't work either. Apparently there was one person who complained, so they shut it down.

Hellebuyck gets called up.
Huge moment in Hutch's career. If he falters he'll pretty much cement his position as a career backup.

Miller gambled on prices and lost. It will be interesting to see what next year's host does.

*Last word* A much better "last word" than the factually incorrect one you tried to sneak in above. But if Sharia Law works for you, who am I to argue. Now you're rehashing. *last word*

I agree totally too. I just find it hilarious that I've been told now for weeks that all of these refugees were totally screened and totally cool and the UN and the government know exactly what they were doing, and if I didn't just 100% agree with this and instead asked that the Government make sure that these refugees were screened properly that I was a racist, Islamaphobe, bigot, insert stupid label here, and now the Canadian government is actually admitting that maybe, just maybe, they shouldn't be allowing in single males. But why? Isn't it totally xenophobic to assume these single males will be strapping on self-detonation kits after they "integrate" into our society? I don't see how it all reconciles with the politically correct psyche, but once again, it appears the politically correct feel-good lefty crowd has tied themselves into an ideological pretzel here. I know you guys won't admit it, but it's pretty cool to see. Bring on the 25,000 women and children, let's get em here ASAP and lickety split. Bold point 1: Quite possibly. My pov is that refugee families should always be first in line wherever they're coming from. Regardless of how they came to this decision, I support the end result. Bold point 2: Easy on the "you guys". I haven't suggested anybody is racist for wanting proper vetting of refugees. The only time I mentioned that word was in regards to the niqab issue. And that was racism...

I'm fully on board with this idea. Imo, women and families with children should always be at the front of the line as refugees.

Found the link from the political editor of Buzzfeed Canada. Ezra Levant has found a way to profit from terrorism. I really hope the missing part of this story is that the profits go to some charity. It would still be in poor taste, but less so than him just trying to make a buck. http://the-rebel-store.myshopify.com/collections/f-ck-isis

They traded his rights b/c they knew they'd be outbid once he hit FA, so it kind of is b/c he's awesome.

Travis Hamonic has requested a trade, with the Jets at the top of the list. He apparently wants to be close to home and come to Western Canada, preferably Winnipeg.
