D-line
They profile too similarly for my liking ... not enough snaps for those two to go around. I'd like having two big guys in the middle. BC did it pretty successfully with Mitchell & Taylor a few years ago.

Game 29 : Blue Suede Jackets @ Jets
I thought he was fighting the puck in the first period, but settled down as the game went on. None of the goals were bad imo. He's doesn't always have great rebound control and can't handle the puck to save his life, but he's stopping the puck and winning games so I'll take it.

Pretty much exactly my take on the issue.

Mass Shootings San Bernardino
Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but some Republicans are trying to change the law so people on the no-fly list can still purchase guns. They feel a person with a suspected link to terrorism should still be able to buy a gun. Let that soak in for a moment...

Mass Shootings San Bernardino
I'm with you on this post until the last paragraph. I don't think the President can act unilaterally to change the Constitution. The cowardice of moderate Republicans and the ignorance of the hardliners is what kills any gun control debate.

Game 29 : Blue Suede Jackets @ Jets
They've been better lately, but we should still win. McElhinney isn't very good, but he shut us out last time so I guess we shouldn't count our two points yet.

Ladd and Buff
Pens don't have a #1 pick this year. Went to TO for Kessel. They're pretty much out of prospects and picks to trade. Sprong, Pouliot, & Murray are their last three (imo) top notch prospects. They'd be crazy to deal any of them for another rental. Buff would be a perfect fit for the Pens, but what would it take to make that trade? Kunitz is finished as a top end player. Perron is meh and taking Scuderi would be doing a favour for the Pens. Hornqvist is a good player having a down year.

Bombers Under Investigation for 50-50 Fiasco
I don’t think it’s that obvious Noeller. 1. This kind of thing should never ever happen. Ever. 2. The Bombers have been part of a 50/50 scandal in the past. I think someone went to jail for it. 3. Earlier this year there was another 50/50 draw that was not claimed. The winnings went to the next games 50/50 and because of the pot being so much bigger, 50/50 sales were way up. In light of recent events, that 50/50 draw has to be in question now too. 4. After Mr.Ritchot checks the web site and phones in to verify and is told his is not the correct number, the Bombers realize their mistake and change it on the web site, but they fail to inform anyone of their mistake. They knew someone phoned in with the correct numbers and still failed to inform anyone when they realized their mistake? Making the mistake in the first place is incompetent, but not informing anyone that a mistake was made is corrupt. 5. The Bombers front office has a well earned image problem. This kind thing exacerbates that negative image. In my opinion this is a very serious incident and it needs to be dealt with in a serious manner. The Bombers have been so bad for so long when it comes to their front office that I can no longer make excuses for them or give them the benefit of the doubt. I think the Bombers have denied this happened. If true, it's really bad. I just wish the franchise would stop embarrassing itself. I'm really tired of it. My first reaction to this story was, "that sounds about right".

Around the NHL
NHL more elite level experience then WJHC. Heck AHL more elite level experience then WJHC. You think he'd gain more from two weeks in the AHL then two weeks at the WJHC? I dont. Now, Im no expert on it, but the idea he needs time to grow as a player in the NHL is true but is also irrelevant to the WJHC. I don't think Ehlers should be in AHL I'm saying AHL is better experience for someone like Ehlers then WJHC. For Ehlers if he is sent to the WJHC, its a demotion. I'm sure the WJHC would be fun for him, but it certainly isn't better hockey.

LaPolice new Bombers OC
I wonder how different things would be now if he had gotten his first choices in Lapo and Stubler for 2014?
-
LaPolice new Bombers OC
He had Steven Jyles, Michael Bishop, & Marcus Crandell all play qb for him in 2008. Being anywhere but dead last with that group is a testament to the quality of his work.
-
LaPolice new Bombers OC
His second attempt as an OC in BC was worse. He's trending in the wrong direction.
-
LaPolice new Bombers OC
Someone who hasn't failed here twice already for obvious reasons. Grow some balls and throw out a name, you contemptible harpy I have already said I wanted Khari Jones So a different guy who's failed twice as an OC?

Pointless article of the day
I think it's kind of stupid, but it's a stretch to call it disrespectful. I don't feel a fans patriotism falls into question if he yells one portion of the song too loudly.

LaPolice new Bombers OC
Someone who hasn't failed here twice already for obvious reasons. Lapo has been stuck on TSN for the last few years, that says something to me about how in demand the guy is. Don't be a *****. Who would you hire? Listen to the press conference. He turned down a job while he was working for TSN and had multiple offers this offseason.
-
LaPolice new Bombers OC
Lapo made Jyles look like a competent CFL qb. Who else has been able to do that?
-
LaPolice new Bombers OC
I'm happy with this hire. We got worse both times he got fired. Be nice to hopefully see him work with some real talent again.

LaPolice new Bombers OC
His offense scored the 2nd most points in the league in 2009. He'll be fine.

Around the NHL
Any team in the league would take Thorburn on their 4th line. He's massive and a good skater. I'm not sure I'm a fan of him getting 3rd line minutes, but I do like his game.

Around the NHL
For the type of game the Jets play, I'm not sure there's a player who's a worse fit for us than Semin.

Game 27 : Capitals @ Jets
With the exception of one terrible shift, Peluso has been pretty good the last 4-5 games. The 4th line has spent a lot of time in the offensive zone lately. Not getting much for results, but it's a win if your 4th line keeps the other team pinned deep for a shift.
