  1. I was at the Moose game today. Niku plays a very composed game. Very smooth out there, like an AHL version of Erik karlsson. Even has the nice flow like him...
  2. Last year's fa class was really weak, which is how a guy like Mason can be considered near the top for his position. I'm assuming we were also the only team willing to pay him starter money. Kulikov was nowhere near the most wanted fa dman. I should point out though, again, that I called his resurgence and us signing him...
  3. Only if they don't come to camp, I think. If we release him, he has to be neg listed. I may be speaking from my buttocks, but it sounds right...
  4. Isn't Lamar Jackson, on Lions' neg list, a potential top 10 pick this year?
  5. From what I remember we can neg list draft picks that go back to school after they're released.
  6. Should have gotten it in orange to match his upcoming prison wardrobe.
  7. If Muamba isn't the end game, there's no reason Okpo has to go b/c of this signing.
  8. Why do you think that? Baines tore it up in college. Reaves was a basketball player trying to learn how to play football.
  9. I'd love to see him here, but I think Muamba ends up in TO.
  10. Don't know why Muamba would even consider it. He'd get picked up by somebody else immediately if the Riders cut him.
  11. Probably would have grabbed a fa, but I bet it would have been one of the more inexpensive guys still waiting for a contract right now.
  12. Any line with Crosby isn't a 4th line. Last game he was skating with Zach Aston-Reese & Bryan Rust and he still had three points. He makes players around him better. Laine certainly isn't at that level yet.
  13. Wheeler and Scheif are both better than Laine right now. I'm not sure how anybody could disagree with that.
  14. I'm guessing Fenner isn't a Bomber if Westerman had re-signed.
  15. I don't think Waud leaves the East. I remember from his draft that he didn't want to play too far from home.
  16. As an accountant, I calculated that $50k more than $200k is $250k for Westerman this season. Edit: forgot to add, sweet sassy molassy is that a lot of cash for him.
  17. Farhan Lalji‏Verified account @FarhanLaljiTSN 5m5 minutes ago So how much did the #Alouettes have to overpay for players? Westerman got 50k more than next closest offer. Mitchell White almost 40k above next closest. Tommy Campbell got 150k (big $ for a corner). Jake Harty in the 125k range.
  18. Jeff Hamilton‏ @jeffkhamilton 2m2 minutes ago After taking a slow approach in free agency and wanting to weigh all his options, it looks like Jamaal Westerman has chosen the Montreal Alouettes. Interest came from many teams, including WPG, TOR and OTT. No word yet on years and money but expecting deal to be done today. #wfp
  19. Heath and Bond were on rookie contracts.
  20. What a crazy thing to say.
  21. His effort level was really exposed when they had him with Schief and Wheeler on Friday. He's great on the pp, but he needs to improve in every other aspect. He's 19 and scores a **** tonne of goals, so I can't complain about him too much though...
  22. JFG to the Redblacks.
  23. Hurl to the Riders. He'll be a good backup, assuming they got him for a backup pricetag.
  24. White re-signed in Edmonton. He and Gable are a pretty good combo. I'd love to know what he cost.
