  1. Poncius deserves a pr spot imo. He made a couple mistakes but looks to have a lot of potential. I think there’s a good chance one of Randolph or Vanterpool gets cut. I thought KMB was disappointing in both games, but likely still makes the ar as a backup and st’er.
  2. I thought he was from Toronto, but that makes sense. He seemed pretty good for a Canadian we picked up halfway through training camp lol
  3. IMO Jenkins won the starting de job. I’d have Dixon as a di due to his ability to move around the line. Reese and Arnold earned pr spots. I’d also roster Fletcher as Canadian depth. Texada and Williams might be the only new dbs that earned a chance to stay in Winnipeg. Can Allen was disappointing. Clinton earned a pr spot. I liked the other Mac too, but we have too many guys for him to stick around. Singer the only new rec worth talking about. Interesting to see if he starts or we go three ni.
  4. Clinton looks like a keeper. Arnold Young and Poncius are two guys I’d keep on the pr. Poncius gave up the sack (Elgersma didn’t help imo) but other than that I thought he held up ok. Only 23 & 25 respectively.
  5. Sorry if this has already been asked but can we stream the game on cfl+ in Winnipeg or will it be blacked out?
  6. I think he has a decent group of ol in front of him but the receiver group has a lot to prove.
  7. CFL.caMMQB: Ranking the CFL's top defensive backs - CFL.caWho are the CFL's top defensive backs? CFL.ca's Pat Steinberg counts them down in this week's MMQB.Posted as rage bait for the Kramdi haters lol
  8. Vaval looked terrible early on though, so most guys look better at this point lol. His turnaround from awful to amazing was pretty shocking. Singer looked good returning kickoffs, but imo he struggled with punts. Seemed to struggle to track the ball and let a few bounce.
  9. What did you love about Shay? The only times I noticed him was when he tried to blitz.
  10. I hope so. DI a dlineman and we could bring in Smith every time we rotate Lawson out.
  11. I haven’t seen him in practice, so I’ll take your word for it on his potential at lb. His processing looked more than just a step behind to me.
  12. Connor Shay didn’t impress me. He didn’t accomplish much on any of his blitzes. Hooper and Pace got manhandled by the Riders 3rd string ol. Stuart was another guy who stood out as not good enough to be here. On the plus side Jaylen Smith looked good. Athletic and aggressive. Singer looks like a keeper. Jenkins looks like a starter. I think Perkins can be a decent backup.
  13. The Rider colour guy is terrible at his job. Does @DTonOB give the names of players on the visiting team that make plays? The Rider pbp guy almost never did.
  14. He looked awkward in the footwork drills I watched.
  15. Janarion Grant showing why he’s not an every down receiver. Looked scared to get hit and dropped the pass.
  16. There’s a person on twitter who appears to be Terry Wilson’s mom responding to every tweet about his situation. She makes it pretty clear he knew he wasn’t getting the backup job.
  17. Yes. I’d also put him at 2.
  18. Davis Alexander is already hurt again.
  19. It’s possible there’s some family/personal issue that will make us look like jerks for calling him a quitter, but you have to think the team would have stated that in the press release if that’s the case.
  20. Terry Wilson dtd with hurt feelings after the depth chart was released? Hodge says he left the team.
  21. How high do you think Nield is being rated? What’s been said to make you think that?
  22. He’s still in Winnipeg. I think he still coaches the Selects football program.
  23. Jordan Herdman-Reed and Thiadric Hansen both cut in TO. I don’t think we need either one of them, but interesting. They also cut Spencer Brown, who started a bunch of games for them. Got off to a great start, but faded badly after that.
  24. From Ed Tait: The @Wpg_BlueBombers release: DBs Michael Dixon, Jordan Taylor, Alijah McGhee, DL Eric Black, LB Aaron Smith, receiver Jahmal Banks, OL Joe More, Tariq Stewart. Slightly surprised by McGhee, who had been working with the starters and whom I wrote about - oops -- yesterday. Smith and Banks don’t surprise me. Smith got bullied in the drills I saw and Banks might be big and strong but was a poor route runner. He looked stiff.
  25. Britton seems like appropriate self awareness. From what I saw he probably didn’t belong in a CFL training camp.
