Our new jersey
Re: the socks... "And this racing stripe here I feel is pretty sharp".

Do you think Cheveldayoff is doing a good job?
It'll be better for them b/c they don't have to give up a 2nd rounder to get him. I'm pretty certain they'll get him for less than $3M too.

Hutterites
Somebody has to ask this question & since this is now a hutterite q & a; Where did the stories about colonies bringing in "new blood" for impregnating women come from? I've always assumed this was an urban legend like the Richard Gere-gerbel thing, where it's been told enough that people assume it's true.

Hutterites
The Amish are so industrious, unlike those shiftless Mennonites.

Alex Brink named Als starting QB
Unless of course you send pressure at him, then he's got nothing. If he has time then yeah Brink can actually play some qb but it's just so easy to defend against him. Blitz the crap out of him and he'll fail. I haven't really paid much attention to the Als this year? Is their OL any good?

Alex Brink named Als starting QB
Per Zurkowsky, Smith might be going on the 6 game IR. Maybe we'll see Garcia next week if Brink struggles.

Alex Brink named Als starting QB
Why? Look at who the Alouettes are playing next week. You're scared of Troy Smith?
-
Als coaching updates
Greatness as a player doesn't always mean greatness as a coach, so how they did in their playing careers isn't really relevant.

Week 8 Depth Chart
I saw a youtube video of Robert Gill running 25mph on a treadmill, so I'm scared of him now.

Do you think Cheveldayoff is doing a good job?
http://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/553430 Justin Bourne from The Score thinks we're intentionally tanking this season for McDavid. Kevin Chevelsummeroff is pretty funny, or at least I thought it was...

Per Knuckles on twitter, Neufeld & Moore are both with the 1st team offense today.

Injury Update - August 9
Is it ever. Moore, Sherman, Denmark, & Neufeld all playing would be huge for us.

Duck Dynasty, War, and religion!
I couldn't possibly disagree more, as it goes back to my original post about proving a negative. However, this is a clearly a topic where nobody will change their mind.
-
Duck Dynasty, War, and religion!
I agreed with what you said up to this part. What qualifications are needed to prove it's not the word of God? How do you prove/disprove a divine power exists? It's not unreasonable to have a healthy skepticism about a God dictating a book to somebody thousands of years ago.
-
Duck Dynasty, War, and religion!
my concern is that you left a pretty obvious drive by slagging of people who are religious... it's just inflammatory. Didn't Jesus teach to turn the other cheek?
-
Duck Dynasty, War, and religion!
I just had this debate with a friend of mine actually. I have no issue with people believing in a higher power. Who is anyone to say that God doesn't exist? God doesnt have to mean a beam of light living on a cloud. There is enough oddity in the world that I can accept we dont know everything about live, creation, existence etc. Some would have you believe that the stories of Gods and visitors and creators were due to alien intervention in early human history. This is the argument that I take exception to. Who's to say there isn't a planet full of pink minotaurs somewhere in the universe? Nobody has proven there isn't. IMO asking somebody to prove a negative isn't a valid argument. Having said all that, as long as a person doesn't push their beliefs on other people I won't argue my pov with them. If believing in something helps, all the power to you.

Duck Dynasty, War, and religion!
I have trouble understanding how some people can believe there is a supreme being guiding our lives. I could see it making sense back in the days when people were afraid of the sun, but it seems crazy now. Anywho, I will slowly back away from this thread now.

Is Kent Austin the most "hated" coach in the league?
http://ht.ly/A1Bvf Per Penton from a CFL "insider": “(Kent) Austin’s act is getting old. It’s embarrassing. Bitching at his players, screaming at the officials every series. Same crap in league meetings. Rolling his eyes, pissed off when we don’t do things his way. I didn’t say anything but I probably wasn’t the only person in the room thinking hope this guy leaves the CFL again."

Taj Smith out Thursday
I'm slowing gaining faith in them. I actually had some belief that they were going to score on the final drive last week. Winning our next game after the Edmonton debacle helped me a lot.
