  1. That's a pretty big hit for the Lions.
  2. Madani just tweeted the Riders offered a 1st rounder + for Burris and the redblacks turned them down. I wonder if they turn that down if DeMarco wasn't out for the season?
  3. Nailed it. How can we win when this fool spends 20 seconds on the post game show not taking about watching the film?
  4. Isn't that what the General Discussion forum is for? You're derailing this thread now.
  5. Rewatch some of the stuff from the Myers/Carvey era. I laughed my ass off as a teenager, but it hasn't aged well. I don't get why Wayne's World or Hans & Frans was so funny anymore.
  6. If you recall back to the game we were suppose to dress Louie Sakoda in 2010, and he couldn't go because he hid is injury from coaches, Renaud was forced to do kickoffs and field goals. It was an embarrassment. Exactly. He lost the job for the 2nd half to a backup linebacker.
  7. Tina Fey is a very good tv/sketch comedy writer. Her acting fits into the "meh" category, although she was never in a lot of skits on SNL anyways. She played the straight act to everybody elses crazy on 30 Rock, so she didn't have to be funny on her own.

Ehler's was clearly drafted for his offense. It makes little sense to play him with bottom of the roster muckers. Why put Petan on the fourth line then... Looks like a 3rd line to me. Slater & Thorburn are clearly 4th liners.

  10. It's funny b/c willy is a euphemism for penis.
  11. I might sell my ticket for this game. I don't want to be witness to O'Shea ruining Willy's career.
  12. Next guy up would have to be a new American find. Renaud can't placekick to save his life so he's no help anywhere but punting.
  13. Procul Harem - Whiter Shade of Pale
  14. From what I've read from you, "hipster" is used to describe anything you don't like...
  15. Jon Stewart has a pretty good record of hiring funny people. Not many people go on to fail after leaving his show.

Isn't that more on the GM than the coach?
  17. McKinnon and Thompson for sure. I'm not 100% sold on the other two though. "What's up with that" was good stuff. This year is Thompson's last. apparently those reports weren't true and he might not leave. That's good. I'm a fan.

I have a ridiculous crush on Vanessa Bayer...no idea why #TooManyTeeth But she is a REALLY funny chick. The ladies on the show right now are the funniest collection they've had since Molly Shannon, Ana Gasteyer, Cheri Oteri, etc... She plays the same character in most skits. She's just ok imo. Disgree re eras of woman. Fey, Pohler, Dratch, & Rudolph was the best era for women on SNL. Kristen Wiig is great too, but she came in at the end of that era. I never got the appeal of Molly Shannon. I found her annoying more than funny.

  20. That's the worst kind of climax.
  21. Absolutely. Other than this past season, it was at it's best since the Will Ferrell years. Digital shorts were some of the best work SNL has ever had. This song about the US gov't shutdown was fantastic...

I agree with this, although that 6th D spot is pretty wide open. There are 4-5 guys who could legitimately win that job and I'm not sure it will be Morissey who gets it.
  23. Maybe he was just being a ***** shaking his hand like that every time he bumped it? If he was really tough, we wouldn't even know about the injuries he's dealing with.
  24. They don't pay them more than room & board, so I don't feel sorry for the CHL if they don't have the chance the make money off them for two extra years. At minimum, I'd like to see the 2nd year after they're drafted removed from the CHL's control.
