Sean Whyte was on BC's PR for years and played for Montreal before Edmonton as well. Vanderjagt was with Sask and even played Arena ball before he made the CFL for good, and then the NFL. Paredes was here for two camps two years before he made the Stamps. The only guy on that list who played regularly as a rookie pro is Ward.

Yeah he would be eligible to play earliest for the game in BC on October 1.

And who kicks? There's no punter here right now so he's on the roster regardless. Only option to come on the roster this week is Crapigna if he's healthy to kick field goals.

Well it's basically 3 games worth of quarantining for anyone coming in here that's not already in Canada, so it won't be fast. Liegghio can make the kicks and he has. Made a game-winner. Have to work with him this season, if they wanted more options they needed to set that up before camp.

He was supposed to do both they brought in Crapigna late in camp. Liegghio was over 90% combined in CIS on FG's and converts, so the ability is there. He's a raw rookie though, pretty rare for a kicker to just jump in without sitting on PR for awhile behind a vet.

O'Shea has given Liegghio a shot to kick some longer field goals but I think heading into Edmonton he needs to gear down a bit, punt those ones and let Liegghio earn trust to try those 45 plus yarders by showing consistency in hitting converts. Focus on the converts and go from there. No one is coming to the rescue with the quarantine requirements on the way in.

Edmonton is exceptionally bad. Calgary is low average, they should have this one by 3-4 scores but they've kept Edmonton alive.

The D was never brutal. This D from the time Richie Hall came in has been solid. Turned the franchise around, tons of turnovers, scored tons of points itself and with short fields for the O. Having Nichols at QB was a huge handicap for this entire team and the fact they've been able to stay top 3 in the West relied a lot on D and Medlock scoring a bunch/dominating field position plus Harris being an all-time player into his 30's as a 1000-1000 type player. It certainly annoys people to see other teams march and pile up first downs, but the scoreboard is what matters.

Yeah if the receiver is going to make an attempt on an underthrown ball like that through a DB and the DB runs into him he'll get that call. The receiver immediately quit once Jones got to him, and Jones did end up playing the ball while the receiver grabbed a handful of popcorn or something...wasn't trying to make any kind of move toward the ball.

Would have been PI if the receiver finished the play. He basically just quit. A preview of the Riders in the second half.

Anyone else notice the Elks players disappear when they run over the screen for the "on-field" ads that we only see on TV. Might have to move away from the dark green jerseys.

Collaros ability to scramble and get the ball to a spot with some zip make building an offense possible. We don't need Harris to be a 1000-1000, he's barely a factor as a receiver now that we can throw downfield and scramble out of the pocket.

Yeah it was highly visible. I'm not sure how Micah Johnson didn't get ejected. I think Harris and Johnson were the easiest ones to toss out of that. Johnson really started it by going after Demski and kept getting it going again when it calmed down. No punches but lots of bulldog throws down by the head to a few guys, then piled on Harris toward the end.

The key thing that the two Riders who got booted did that the other 22 guys on the field didn't was to rough a player who wasn't even involved in the altercation. Marino slapped the QB (McGuire) and the other Rider ejected jumped Hardrick from behind then threw bombs at him on the ground. Both McGuire and Hardrick were relative miles away from the actual fracas.

I think a contingency for any secondary injuries is also Bighill dropping to safety.

The most worrisome thing about Nelson is his lack of production vs guys like Bede and Jon Ryan. Half the time they outkick their coverage by about 15 yards so if you catch the ball and just move upfield you've got 10 yards before you're even encountering a tackler. On some of those kicks Nelson goes east-west like he's going to outrun the angle of 10 guys. He needs some coaching, which I'm sure he's getting, and maybe not all that receptive to. But catching the punt is a skill unto itself.

Honestly Nelson's averages aren't bad and he hasn't even really busted one yet. Look around the league, returns are down. I'd be more concerned if our D and O were worse, like yeah in a game like the @TO one you could use a big return as a spark, but on the whole I don't really want to play around throwing guys back there doing it part time not really practicing catching punts or trying it out for the first time in awhile. Ball security is priority, we'll win games with our O and D.

Demski’s issue on returns is ball security. O’Shea tried it and has shied away from it since. Also his role on O probably leads you to not want him to accumulate those hits on returns.

If I'm the Bombers D I'm prepping for more run heavy looks from the Riders and them using two backs, bring Morrow into the offense. There's nothing and no one in their pass game that concerns me. If they come out 5 wide I'm following the same scheme, make Fajardo try to be accurate downfield from the pocket vs the rush.

Harris can make all the throws it's just that he has the confidence to do so about 1/3rd of the games he plays.
