Yeah you’re right, January makes more sense

Unless something has changed in the rules, I'm not sure why they wouldn't count. You actually don't need to start a certain amount of Canadians as per rule. The rule has always been written that you can only start a maximum amount of Americans, not that you must start a minimum amount of Canadians so since Hansen is not an American, he should count the same way as a Canadian.

They could easily fix it if they wanted to and they're choosing not to. Give teams a window to negotiate with free agents prior to the opening of free agency. Lets players determine their worth, lets teams structure their budget and roster. Easiest solution but in all honesty, who cares. Just open free agency the Monday after the season ends, what difference does it really make. Baseball does it.

Yeah, you're also supposed to pay for what you take from the Liquor Mart but look at how that's going. Tampering is never going to stop and complaining about it is so blah, since every team (including us) does it. I mean really, you don't think we tampered with Harris or Demski? We 110% did.
  5. Well i mean yeah obviously. lol

Yeah, I think Maas is a good OC and this is a good hire for Saskatchewan. But if it goes wrong, it'll be amazing because I hate Maas and I hate Saskatchewan.

As far as finding a rotational player with Kongbo if Thomas retires ... we already have one. Hansen.

It's the overall package. Teams in the NFL are looking to innovate and do something you either don't see or don't see often. They're not looking for a QB or FB or RB, they're looking for a football player who can provide flexibility and offer a threat that teams have to think twice about to defend. There aren't many players in the NFL who can line up as a runner, passer or receiver and hurt you. Streveler can.

I'd say it's more along the lines of just don't be an ass in general.
  10. Nice Boobie Williams! all aboard the boobie wagon

I still think with a different OC, Streveler could be a top tier QB in this league.

Good to see you in mid season form already. Are you going to get all upset when he claps back at you too?
  13. Just cut out the middle man and donate one to a pawn shop
  14. LaPolice and Masoli would be a terrible combination as far as style and skill sets go.

I mean if that's your angle, neither is Winnipeg

Addison would be almost a perfect fit in our offence and would be the ideal pickup. Wouldn't mind Begelton or Evans as "consolation prizes" either, but no matter what, we need to find some receivers. Wouldn't be surprised if Hardrick moves on, maybe even by our choice, since we may have the horses to start 4 Canadian OL next year. I wouldn't say no to an OL of Bryant-Desjarlais-Couture-Neufeld-Gray with Eli as the 6th man. Could work. Need to find a way to get Bryant signed ASAP though, but I think that's an easy one. Would love to see a guy like Adeleke here but that sounds extremely expensive.
  17. That’s a good way to lose a lot of the shine we’ve built as a program players want to come to - in a hurry.
  18. This is true. I guess I worded it poorly, I moreso meant that Collaros didn’t really elevate our offense beyond a level that Nichols could’ve achieved - even if they did it in stylistically different ways. Collaros definitely made some plays that Nichols couldn’t have possibly made but I also saw him make quite a few throws Nichols wouldn’t have considered throwing.
  19. I’m not particularly interested in signing Collaros. Call him a Grey Cup champion all you want, he deserves it. He didn’t play great. Our D carried us, especially in the final game and Collaros honestly is lucky he escaped the playoffs without a turnover, because he easily could’ve thrown 4 or 5 picks if not for some bad mitts by some defensive backs. Taking nothing away from him, but as a guy who isn’t a Nichols fan, Collaros didn’t do anything Nichols wouldn’t be able to do.

One coach I’d like to see is get is Constanza.
  21. Not at all. It doesn’t matter what the details are. You’re acting like you know what is in somebody’s best interests without knowing anything about them.
  22. This is a classic example of where you really need all the facts before you start spouting off your own takes on what is “best for” a player you don’t even know. Collaros’ wife has a unionized job in Ontario that she wouldn’t be able to acquire easily if she were to move to Manitoba and she also happens to be pregnant. If those two things aren’t enough reason for him to want to move back to Ontario, his family is close to the area as well. He’ll be going back to Ontario.

Streveler is an absolute legend. 😂
  24. The first few pages of this thread are one hell of a read
  25. Talking to a couple of the players after the game, at least one or two on that list said it was their last game in our colors. I think Willie, Rose, Sayles, Bryant, Neufeld, Streveler all stay. Not sure beyond that.
