  1. Do you know what the word “likely” means?
  2. I don’t know why people think this is an either or situation with Brady and Schoen. Why do people think we’re going to be SO tight to the cap? We pay Collaros and Lawler premiums for their position and other than that, we probably don’t have anyone making top 3 money at their spot. MAYBE Nichols? Willie/Jeffcoat/Alexander/Bighill/Bryant/Hardrick/Neufeld are the “big” veteran earners and at this point, their deals should be getting cheaper every year not more expensive. Not to mention there’s the very obvious need to get a bit younger and faster next year, I’m sure the only way we’re going to be in a position to make a cap crunch work is if we somehow miraculously get Dru Brown back.
  3. Iso has been a grumpy old man for 87 years now. I like the consistency, this place would be weird without it.
  4. I wouldn’t say Cadwallader is a player on the rise. He’s a high quality special teams tackling crash test dummy. That’s about it.
  5. Do you want a great QB for two years? or do you want a potentially great QB for 8-10 years? in a perfect world, we sign Dru anyways but I can’t see that happening. MAYBE if you do something like take a huge risk, sign him to a 3 year deal where you pay him something like 200/200/500 and guarantee as much of the third year as you can, but I don’t think we can pull that off. You’d have to sell him that this is the best place for him and look what has happened to other players who have left in search of the cash, I just don’t see it. Ottawa will give him the bag.
  6. I thought Kramdi was a stud by the end of the year and I also thought he was a near lock to head home to Montreal so colour me super happy with this one
  7. Hart is the guy I think we can expect to see soonest for sure
  8. Farhan is going to blow smoke up any Canadian’s ass but Brady (and I say this as a HUGE fan who would love to see him in the NFL) has less than zero chance at making a NFL roster. What’s the appeal? He tests slower than defensive linemen, he’s not young for a rookie, he has no extensive experience contributing on special teams, he has a running style where the size won’t compute at the NFL level and on top of everything else, he’s a small school Canadian. If he wasn’t Canadian, we wouldn’t even be talking about this on this side of the border.
  9. What makes me laugh about this the most is guys like @GCn20 claimed all year that we were the most talented. Now we lost. And the same guys are telling us our coaching staff did nothing wrong. If we were the most talented and no mistakes were made, why did we lose?
  10. I’m talking about guys like Nate Givhan, who were in camp last year … or Tyrique McGhee/Kelvin McKnight who get signed 87 times but aren’t good enough to play. It’s becoming habitual and I don’t love it. We’re signing gap fillers instead of guys who can be real players because we seemingly have no urgency to build and develop depth, which must be driving Walters nuts
  11. That’s not what I’m talking about, but keep going.
  12. I’m getting a little tired of seeing us sign guys we’ve already had up here before. We’re not in the position to be bringing in guys who aren’t ready to compete for a spot.
  13. So then we didn’t have depth, is what you’re saying.
  14. Is this a joke? Lol we literally started three guys who had no business being on the field because we had no depth alternatives
  15. He shows flashes because that’s what his reps are designed for
  16. Okay. But let’s not ignore the fact that he is beyond finished. I don’t care about the cap. He’s bad.
  17. Not a chance. Running backs aren’t big earners. The funny thing is we’ve asked Bighill to do this a ton. And he used to be able to. He’s the first one I want to see go. Can’t stand him anymore.
  18. But if we just threw a touchdown bro
  19. Barrington Wade would’ve batted that pass down
  20. Let’s simplify it … Mike O’Shea himself says every guy on our team is a starter. Why don’t we play 46 of them instead of 41 then?
  21. No, but did I watch a crippled Bighill get torched on a touchdown tonight? Yes. Did I watch our pass rush get gassed by the time it came down to crunch time? Yes. Did I see us dress multiple players that didn’t take a single rep? Yes. Now tell me - why am I watching all of that? And could fixing any of it have possibly helped us cover up our offensive woes?
  22. I don’t feel vindicated at all. I would’ve rather sat here listening to Noeller and TrueBlue4ever tell me what an idiot I am for ever questioning anything our team did. Feels like ****, man. Is it exactly what I dreaded all year long? Pretty much. We fostered a sense of complacency and just coasted on by thinking we didn’t need every single roster spot in order to win games. I hope our front office takes a long, hard look in the mirror tonight because quite honestly as much as they’re gonna sit here and say all the right things, what they did really was a slap in the face to the fans. You can’t expect to win it all when you openly handcuff yourself and then treat everyone else like they’re the dumb ones for pointing it out.
  23. He plays like it when it matters
