Yeah ... I didn't love the pick because he's not the guy that I was expecting but it's not like he was a reach. He went pretty much exactly where he was expected to.

Guy like Waggoner might not even have his passport yet so I'm not surprised that it's not done as of right now.

My favorite was when, ten minutes after the news that the Bombers were drafting Chungh came out, he tweeted "well, it's taken four months but I'm finally convinced the Bombers must take Chungh over Groulx" Like really? What sold you? The fact that they've said that's what they're doing? And when he was asked why, he said "because I think Chungh is the next Brendon Labatte" ... if you thought that, why would you ever have chosen Groulx in the first place? He gets an A+ for effort but I find myself disagreeing with nearly everything he says.

It wasn't a full blown outcry but I remember towards the end of his career, there were a number of people calling for Stegall to be benched or put in a reduced role because he was dropping a lot of passes. As for drops ... if Adarius Bowman can become what he has today, then Poblah can get past it too. Bowman was the poster child for drops and now look at him.

I don't like it because I don't like the circus he's made out of his whole situation despite his constant insisting that he just wants to play football. I don't like the fact that he basically accused St. Louis of cutting him because he was gay. If you want to be a football player, be a football player. If you want to be a spectacle, be a spectacle but at least own it. Michael Sam keeps insisting he just wants to go about his business and play pro football, but everything he has been doing proves otherwise.

I agree with your assessment. The part that sells me on the whole Waggoner story the most is that we put one over on Wally B. Just the fact that he's sitting in Vancouver or Kamloops right now steaming away that the Bombers pulled one over on him is gratifying to say the least. Especially after all the years of watching the Bombers screw the pooch as rival GM's grabbed guys like Westerman and Mike Reilly right out from under our noses. ... we didn't pull anything over on anyone.

Sounds like Kyle owes Duane Forde a doughnut. Also - how pissed off is Wally right now? He had this kid in the bag and Forde totally screwed it up for him. It would have been interesting to know if Wally was planning to switch Waggoner's passport after the draft passed by. If Wally had signed him before this happened, he wouldn't have been able to ever switch status.
