  1. It's pretty obvious Willy isn't as bad of a quarterback as some think. We wouldn't have gotten the return we did for him if he lacked talent the way some of the members here have suggested.
  2. Calling those drops is a bit of a stretch, but I agree his receivers haven't always helped him out. That being said, Dressler has also done a lot of work in the opposite direction by fighting to make plays out of poor throws by Nichols. On the deep ball towards the north end zone (I forget what quarter) on Saturday, Dressler turned a horrible throw into a 40 yard gain. It's give and take of course, but the eye test simply doesn't tell me that Nichols is a GREAT quarterback. He's doing just enough to help us win, but our defense would be the reason we go deep this year if there ends up being one. Perhaps once Nichols gets Adams back, something can change with regards to our offensive production. Adams is a big weapon to have in the lineup and should make a difference for us.
  3. I do appreciate and agree with this, but it's not unfair to suggest that if he'd show up earlier in games, he wouldn't need these last minute drives.
  4. His bad throws have been few and far between. Unfortunately, so have his good throws recently. His decision making isn't something I can knock, but his execution lately has been poor. 6 touchdown tosses in 6 games with the opportunities he has been afforded isn't going to be a winning result for us if it continues moving forward.
  5. In terms of results, you're definitely correct. But you can bet that our coaching staff doesn't just grade performance on results. A bad throw is a bad throw whether the result of it was bad or not.
  6. Drew both Fantuz and Tasker depending on the alignment.
  7. Agreed in principle, I would imagine. I think you're right.
  8. Maybe someone fell asleep on his shoulder on the plane.
  9. That was my point, I was mostly directing it at those who think Willy can give Toronto some kind of advantage.
  10. people aren't forgetting that Heath can share intel too, are they?
  11. I wouldn't say changing your mind always means a mistake.
  12. No contract in the CFL is ever a major mistake.
  13. Macho is good to go. That should tell you everything.
  14. Man he really loves the juice
  15. Am I the only one who noticed Couture wearing 70 last game? It was a jersey with his name on it too. He has one of each. That must get annoying.
  16. Steward is going to make a big difference. I have BC taking this one handily but man it would be nice (sorry LG) if Montreal could do us a favor.
  17. I swear you're just being difficult. You don't think Toronto should want Willy because who's to say he'll outplay Toronto's backups but we should keep him because he's a valuable player to have? Make up your mind.
  18. You're right. I don't want to trade Drew Willy all that badly.
  19. If Toronto wants him, I want a Canadian offensive piece, a draft pick and a QB off their neg list. Easily.
  20. That's a scary injury. Gotta think they'll be wanting Drew even more now, although I still can't see us trading him for anything short of a massive overpay.
  21. This sends the right message to the team. The best players play.
  22. It's always these undercover guys that come on the PR and get released without much fanfare because they've quietly signed a NFL deal.
  23. It's a great program and I'm proud of Winnipeg for being at the top of the list, but any donation counts and the food Saskatchewan donated is still a substantial amount. Good on all of us! And no, I'm not getting off this fence!
  24. Glencoe, Minnesota? I thought he was a NI.
