  1. Yeah probably. LOL!
  2. I'm beginning to think I may not want him here. He may be a skilled and talented receiver but he may also be a loser. No desire to join a reigning, defending championship team that wants you and is willing to pay fair market value? Holding out for the highest bidder of a few shekels regardless of how crappy that team may be? Yeah, go sign somewhere else and watch us beat the crap out of your team and humiliate you in the process. Good move, genius. Walters likes to sign character guys that know how to win. Let's not make an exception now.
  3. Being defending champs and having thoroughly manhandled the Cats in the Grey Cup I'd have us at #1 and SSK at #6 or #7 behind CGY, EDM and MTL. I seriously doubt SSK will be able to reproduce their smoke and mirrors show from last year and they are definitely a worse team this year with all the departures. The longer it drifts from the Chris Jones era the lower they will sink.
  4. Yikes! Best wishes, man!
  5. Just absolutely horrific what has happened to Hefney. What kind of person gives him a sentence like that after considering the circumstances that lead up to it. Ridiculous and disgraceful.
  6. I pictured you to be at least 70.
  7. He is exactly what he was groomed to be. Why would you expect otherwise?
  8. Okay, am I missing something? Who the hell is Bo Levi Smith?
  9. Our D last season was the embodiment of exactly what I had hoped for in an O'Shea/Hall defense. Quick, strong, intimidating, with a hell-bent-for-leather attitude and you know what? It's going to be even better this year! Teams didn't want to play us last year because of our defense and this year will be no different. Add to that an offense with a Buck Pierce-sized set of gonads and it's going to be a very good year. I can't friggin' wait.
  10. Now, now. Rodents are mammals just like us. LOL!
  11. I assume you're referring to Pierce taking over for Lapo. Likely a HUGE upgrade. I can't wait to see what he has cooked up for us on offense.
  12. Tina took them.
  13. Absolutely. At 260 myself I'm not small but I've shook hands with some of these guys and it's embarrassing when your hand literally disappears inside of theirs. These are BIG MEN! I love your comment about them being "cool dudes and great ambassadors for the Bombers!" They're big men and even better human beings. There is something about sports and camaraderie that develops great people.
  14. The Riders released Thigpen this year. There was a comment made on RF that they released him because of his PED use and that we should do the same with Andrew Harris for the same reason. Are we comparing apples to oranges here? Thigpen said he was out of football before signing with the Riders (2 years) and was using because he was "physique modeling". When he tested positive he had just come back to football and it hadn't cleared his system yet. In Andrew's case, he blamed a contaminated supplement was responsible for his positive test. Harris tested positive for Metandienone, a PED that has fallen out of favour due to it's ineffective results. Thigpen for dehydrochloromethyltestosterone, a powerful anabolic steroid. The Bombers have in Harris a player that is better, younger (32), is not injury prone, Canadian, a home town boy, and adamantly insists he never knowingly took any PEDs. I don't think the Riders released Thigpen because of his positive test. I think they released him because he was a 33 year old American with a history of injuries. Apples to oranges.
  15. He probably confused Nolby with someone else but you have to admit, it was a pretty good dig at the Riders. 🙂
  16. My buddy's dog ate a large quantity of his black hash once. Talk about a comatose dog.
  17. That's the sort of technicality a good lawyer is going to exploit in favour of his client and I'm sure Mr. Robinson will be able to afford a good lawyer.
  18. I'm okay with all three scenarios but my preference is to sign Walker. With our O-line, a QB like Collaros, a back like Harris, and receivers like Adams and Walker, I believe we'd have, by far, the best offense in the CFL to go along with the best defense and what Winnipeg football fan wouldn't want that?
  19. The dog did his job correctly. The question is, did the agents? All it takes is a technicality.
  20. I suppose it would hinge on whether a judge agrees that a dog alert would constitute "probable cause". I think it probably would and that you are correct.
  21. 4th Amendment, I believe. "The Fourth Amendment's protection against unlawful search and seizure generally prohibits arbitrary vehicle searches by police. If the police search your car without a warrant, your permission, or a valid reason, they are violating your constitutional rights." Therefore, at least one of the following would have to be true ... You have given the officer consent; The officer has probable cause to believe there is evidence of a crime in your vehicle; The officer reasonably believes a search is necessary for their own protection (a hidden weapon, for example); and You have been arrested and the search is related to that arrest (such as a search for illegal drugs). The "probable cause" might be the one that sinks them.
  22. Unlike Hefney, Greg Robinson is a wealthy man. Let's see if he is able to buy himself some favourable American justice.
  23. Maybe because they weren't crossing the border. Maybe since they were already in the U.S. then they'd need consent or a warrant.
