  1. He makes a good point for sure. I think Mitchell has earned some ire, but by no means should be at the end of his leash. He can atleast catch punts which is an upgrade over some of the guys we ran out previously when grant was hurt. Which is a big reason why we need to airlift in a KR or two, if mitchell gets hurt it's gonna get soo much worse real fast. Gauthier barely played on D. Kyrie played the vast majority of the Mac reps. I think we are having to come to terms very quicky with the fact the team is not nearly as well coached as people believed. Mos is a culture setter in a big way. But that culture is locked in right now and maintained for better or worse by the locker room. Toronto beat us with a worse team in 22 based on significantly better coaching. Mtl, handled us twice in coaching as well. Buck is still a young OC, he's shown a lot of promise and his share of struggles. He isn't by any means ready to be a HC yet. He could really use an OC mentor imo. He's better at Plop than plop was at all his strengths. Game plan, XnOs, creativity, rolling in new looks etc. But he's still struggling where plops career has died multiple times. When the D is prepared and has a decent game plan we don't have the tactics to manufacture drives and dig our way out, building that momentum from a stalled point, and adjusting is huge. JY is super promising and I loved a lot of what I saw from the D last week, he's even younger (lol) but he has a great mentor and I wouldn't be surprised to see him pass buck in progress. The one real weakness was the struggle of that side of the D with assignments and decision making. JY will fix that, starting two canadian cover Dbs is crazy, but I think we are married to the concept for atleast a few weeks. I'm sure that Ford and that side of the D will play better vs ott. I think expectations are too high on MCI. Rbs are generally pretty turn key, but even brady was a work in progress. MCI was really positionless his last year in college and never the featureback kind of guy. He's an athlete with a great mindset and work ethic who is a work in progress. I don't expect much of him till next year. This is why I thought he was a none factor for us pre draft. I thought his time table, and how high he'd go would price us out. But I can't blame them for loving his tools.
  2. Same here, mainly because i don't care in the least if the jets lose lol. Yeah, and he may have been more ready earlier but we needed the roster flexibility to keep 96 guys around till the last minute. Idk, but I'm not guessing on guys being IR/AR any more lol. Never know. He does, they used him a lot more like a dime, a back up wil, real package. I wish we were starting 1 canadian and using the other in that role tbh. I am glad karamoko is on the roster though, he's talented and deserves to be here. IF mos came out one day and said he trolled with rosters I wouldn't be surprised. He clearly does not treat the roster like its a primary driver to success. He's fully bought into his own claims that the next guy is just as good and will step up given snaps.
  3. Yeah I was thinking he'd be a fa, but you never know when guys get re upped at qb for the 2nd year 2 year deals seem to be a way to keep them in house. Could be an interesting off season with a few of those guys hitting FA.
  4. I think Feltmate is slide in 100% for MCI. Jones, will come down to if they like him more than ayers on cover teams, if biggie is still out. If biggie returns I expect to see a pretty decent shake up of the roster depth. I do think we are more likely to carry an extra imp LB, especially a plug and play kick cover guy, than the db in bridges who was behind karamoko in terms of snaps.
  5. I think thats right on the money apples to apples. But it's going to be a very interesting, and important year to see how all those guys shake down in the CFL. The league really needs atleast one of those guys to step up to being a young star qb. I'd say that's true. Just like brown last year. You seldom hear qualms from back ups on the verge of taking the next step though. Is dukes a FA this off season or is he re upped for one more with the argos?
  6. Move the Xpt back 5 more yards imo. offensive familiarity aside, would you rather have dukes, brown, crumb, powell, or ford?
  7. Double down with streveler.

Can the whole team get a redo on week one please? Pretty please?
  9. When was the last time we lost a season / home opener? Also 19. But that was an insane weather game with a true rookie qb starting. Only 1 got any touches in the pre season. We roster managed our way into a KR nightmare, and possibly a RB nightmare. In reality, I expect brady to play sub 100% rather than any of the pretty bad alternatives. They should be flying Rosery back here right now. I get and love the upside of MCI, but he doesn't have a chance to be playable right now and rosery does a lot well. That would only happen if we prioritized on field production over soft skills. Should've, but wasn't going to. Honestly I would've put mci on the pr, kept augustine and rostered rosery as a back up wr as well, then maybe dropped augustine. Brady hasn't been healthy all camp and we cut the imps. Should be air lifting in imp rbs right now. In reality, 1 dt, 1 db spot, 1 wr spot, 1 kr spot. They didn't have a competition for loftons spot, and dobson was penned in as the guard. Same with Habba.
  10. We went 2 for 1 because we were under the PR limit since it opened. I actually think we will see a bit of roster adjustments in the AR, IR, and PR still. We lowkey have a lot of guys banged up at varying levels already.
  11. One spot is, two spots aren’t. Keep the min cut the excess. I presume Ayers will go to pr to get jones on the ar, that’s a nice instant upgrade to teams. Feltman on for mci Qft mci maybe can contribute on kick cover as the last guy on the ar, but that’s a stretch especially when we have other guys who can do that better. He should spend most of the year on the pr, he’s not likely ready to contribute this year. I’d only throw him back on the ar if we have cushion games at the end of the year.
  12. Least it’s an ni fb this time, don’t thin mci is game day ready yet. Might not be this year. At least as a fb/rb Should cut mcghee and a global lber. Keeping either or gemmell is typical roster management around here though.
  13. Stupidfield reveals torn acl, lies about trying to hurt strevy. F&@$ that guy. https://3downnation.com/2024/06/08/alouettes-sam-reggie-stubblefield-reveals-torn-acl-denies-trying-to-injure-chris-streveler/
  14. Any his watch how hardrick played? I might watch the game later but ajs numbers look reaaaal ugly
  15. Yep. I’d just prefer to do it with the imp back up and Adams. Really any of the defensive applications would be beneficial. But it’s the pipe dream of pipe dreams. We have at times burned di spots entirely. Which isn’t any better. Guys get di’d and don’t play.
  16. That makes sense. Even out side of the usual mos stuff, I don’t think he’d want one of the leaders being the designated import. That’s Hamilton culture though. They do any thing for an edge roster wise. It’s multiple hurtles here. Mos won’t use a fake Canadian type rule. Mos won’t use a designation like that on a leader or star. Mos won’t “exploit” a roster rule like that. Personally, I’d use it on kyrie with Cole starting. Maybe wj when garbutt is healthy.
  17. Thanks. I’m not sure who we would use like that that is also eligible. It would work well with wj, but they won’t do that, outside of the fact we don’t use the rule it self they don’t want to use that on our biggest defensive star. Ba seems back and we don’t have the right guy to rotate with him.
  18. Honestly I kinda get it. They were putting the exclamation point on their ship and staking a claim to being the premiered team in the league.
  19. How’d the stamps use it?
  20. He was out of the pocket and down field, wouldn’t be rtp, he wasn’t a passer any more. Any you cut it, that was a soft marginal at best call in a game with some pretty bad missed calls. Or in other words, “forget it, Jake. It’s Chinatown.” Wouldn’t be a cfl game with out a horrible inconsistency in penalty enforcement.
  21. One of the interesting things about our D vs mtl, is we used a 30 front about as much as a 40. We blended using a 30 over set with the ends as a jack. With that we may well have spent more time in a 30 than a 40 alignment. But we didn’t drop from the 3-4 over with that end. I wouldn’t be surprised to see that wrinkle in the future. I also wouldn’t be surprised to see more 30 front on run downs when either ayers earns significant reps or biggie comes back.
  22. It’s true but the als were also very smart with when to let go. When you grab push/pull and let go / change hands you get away with it a lot more. They walked the line really well for the most part. Or disguised it masterfully any way.
  23. He does have to walk to line carefully to keep him healthy and not make it so that every time he goes in he is just running. I believe he is working on that as well especially with the 2 QB jet sweep we saw a glimpse of. Lamar jackson and the ravens have done it as well as any team at any level while keeping him reasonably healthy. (86 games over 6 years) The keys to keeping him healthy are 1, strevy needs to know when to stop fighting for yards, and 2, we need to have him throw hand it off and run it so teams can't just run down field every time he comes on. Also, you need to stretch the field in other directions and keep the D honest. To run QB power you have to be spreading the field sideline to sideline, and even more so down field. That way you create big running lanes and leave strevy on DBs not mainly on big body positions.
