Not sure Nichols could be ready for this weekend but Banjo Bowl for sure...

My guess is with a full week of practice, hoping he can start this week.  Nicholls is a legit CFL QB.  A guy you can at least win games with.  Full credit to Walters on this one...I now have hope for this season!!

Not the answer to anything long term, but a better option than Brohm or Marve right now and a 7th round pick might as well be free. Good trade. Shame it had to come to that though. 

the biggest plus IMO is a legit back up to Willy going forward... assuming is contract is longer than this season...

Not the biggest signing, but hey...he's better then Brohm and has played decently this year. And for a 7th rounder....hard to say no to that. I guess Reilly is coming back soon. Hard to believe Edmonton would put all their hope on a guy who has yet to start a game.

Not a big Nichols fan either, but I'm happy about this.

 

Edmonton probably hates Saskatchewan as much as we do so they were like "just give us some token pick and you can have Nichols".

Get Lemon also to today and it's been a really good day.

Pretty much echoing the comments already, for a conditional 7th, I'd do this in a heartbeat. Not a big Nichols fan but he's a hell of a lot better than Marve or Brohm.

How much money is Nichols making?

Nichols gives us a chip and a chair again. Doubt his contract is prohibitive. He has never entered the season as a starter.

He will be a big help right now. In the future, who knows...who cares. Our season is teetering on the abyss. We needed a QB capable of winning a game.
