November 8, 201410 yr comment_93858 Brutal Montreal game plan. It's Week 20 in the CFL, rainy and windy, and you've got Jonathan "747" Crompton hucking the ball 35 times? I love the Montreal receivers but JC isn't a good enough passer for that game plan to work at all.
November 9, 201410 yr comment_93860 Help me out here, why is Joseph playing this game for the Riders? I thought Durant was going to be good to go?
November 9, 201410 yr comment_93862 Help me out here, why is Joseph playing this game for the Riders? I thought Durant was going to be good to go? We could ask migs, but he should be banned by now.
November 9, 201410 yr Author comment_93863 The word was SSK was saving Durant for the playoff. Anyway, it doesn't matter. Either SSK or BC is gonna get beat down in Montreal in the East Semifinal.
November 9, 201410 yr comment_93865 Like many people here I don't care for the Riders but I have to say that I'm a Rob Bagg fan. Undrafted free agent national, running on two rebuilt knees, top-ten receiver. Gotta root for a guy like that. Wish he played for the Bombers
November 9, 201410 yr comment_93867 Another sub 60 per cent completion percentage effort from Crompton today, and his second 50 per cent or under performance. Quite the juggernaut this guy is...11/23 for 160 yards. Fascinating. So 4 for 10 and 22 yards is what exactly?

Not surprised that would be too much for you to grasp, nevermind the face that, that statline is one half of football.
November 9, 201410 yr comment_93879 We're talking about Crompton here. Looks like someone is just out for a Saturday night troll.
November 9, 201410 yr comment_93882 In Hamilton - It's all or nothing for the Tiger Cats. Win today and they will win the East, but lose and they will be eliminated. For Montreal, a win today would cap off a huge season of turnarounds for team that seemed all but lost midway though the season, yet they've now surpassed the 500 mark and would get an improbable 10 wins by winning today. Hell of a game coming here. In Edmonton - What do the Esks want to do? Do they want to go into conservative mode and sit their starters and prepare to play the Riders next week, or do they want to send the men in green out east should Darrian Durant come back next week? Either way they'll be hosting the east semifinal to one of those 2 teams. If the Riders had lost tonight, they would be 9-9. They split the season series with B.C. and they won the point differential by 9 points. Am I missing something? Would they not have finished third even if they lost today?

Moot point anyway though since they won. So ..... BC vs Montreal and Saskatchewan vs Edmonton next week.

Quite the juggernaut this guy is...11/23 for 160 yards. Fascinating. So 4 for 10 and 22 yards is what exactly? What is "kptkrunch's sole stat line to try and insult Willy?" Alex. No - Mr. P's trying to run down Crompton and now that he had a bad game he's all over him - so I'm asking him a legit question. And it's not the only stat line Wily has like that. It's quite hypocritical I find to run down one guy who has 'better' numbers, is younger, and is less experienced, then our own guy who frankly shat the bed the last half of the year. Regardless of the excuse why- it is what it is. So I'm asking the question. I'm curious how one stat line can be 'excused' and another isn't. Fair enough I think. But as usual - no answer just insult the poster. Epic fail.
November 9, 201410 yr comment_93933 He is not trying to run down Crompton, he is simply explaining that your over the top mancrush on the guy is a bit unfounded given the actual stats.
November 9, 201410 yr comment_93963 Crompton will never be anything more than an average QB. Probably looks better than that because of the horrible display put on by Troy Smith and Alex Brink earlier this season. Of course, you can win with an average Qb provided you have an excellent defense, a good o-line, excellent receivers and great running back. Bombers proved this in 1990 with Burgess at the helm. Als seem to have all the pieces with possible exception of running back (not sure of injury status there) and O-line (not sure if I would categorize as good..say top 3 in the league, or average..say top 4-5 in the league).
November 10, 201410 yr comment_93987 If Willy had Montreal's OL and receivers he would be the MOP this season. Heck several QBs could be behind that group. Crompton is serviceable at best. He would not start on any other team in the CFL.
November 10, 201410 yr comment_93995 Several QBS have been behind that group, and they've all done far worse.
November 10, 201410 yr comment_93996 Several QBS have been behind that group, and they've all done far worse. Because those QB's have no business playing professional football. It's like comparing a solid turd to diarrhea. Both stink, but one is worse than the other.

November 10, 201410 yr comment_93999 Provided with 2 receivers who can catch anything within 10 yards of them and can't be covered, Crompton still completes half his passes. Says it all. He's like a poor man's Jay Cutler. Will be interesting to see what kind of deal Duron Carter gets from a NFL team. I bet he'll have offers from most teams.
November 10, 201410 yr comment_94060 Jury still out on Grigsby here but , in his defense, he played great on Sat. and was a difference maker.
